Amazing!! The fact a Miranda repeat is in that same 'most requested' chart probably shows how little TV there actually was to catch-up on this last week, so it's perhaps not quite as telling as if it had managed to do that say in Christmas week, but yes it's still quite an achievement to still be up there almost a week after airing.

The other thing I'd say is that it is a show which definitely lends itself to multiple viewings. 'The Sign of Three' has already been watched four times in our house, for example.

100% agree there matey. Besides, Sherlock is Moffat's baby, and if he left he'd probably take Mark Gattis/Mycroft with him, so there'd be no show left..! Though a quick google search brings up a depressing number of articles titled "Why is Moffat's Doctor Who so crap when Moffat's Sherlock is so brilliant", I agree I can't see the BBC even considering upsetting him with regards either show when he brings in these kind of numbers. If he left either of his shows while Sherlock in particular is this strong it'd 100% be his choice no doubt about that.

I only hope Doctor Who averages significantly more for it's Autumn run this year than it did for it's oddly-timed run in Spring last year (which by all accounts it definitely should).

Utterly superb. I've been enjoying Series 3 so much. It's felt different to Series 1 and 2 because it's focused a bit more on Sherlock/Watson/Mary's dynamic a lot more, and on humanising Sherlock. I like that Moffat, Gatiss and Thompson are pushing boundaries and taking Sherlock in a slightly different direction - after all, it would be 'easy' to write to a formula and just have Sherlock solving mysteries and that's it.

It feels as if I'm just really getting into this series but it's all over next week. So disappointing, that

On another note, the fact it's only on 3 times every 2 years means that every episode is effectively like a special episode.

Running DW must be tough though - can see him wanting a rest before too long.

That's an increase of 2.56m, and has converted what most on here regarded as a slightly disappointing rating into one of the highest ratings of the whole of last year Timeshifting really has stepped up a gear of late.

Of course tomorrow we're due to finally get the much discussed final rating for the New Year fireworks, that'll be fun..

Thanks Ronant!

Another great rating for Mrs Brown's Boys and Corrie. Hayley's final Corrie episode will be huge.

Haha sorry matey! Going by your own list a couple of weeks ago I make it the ninth highest final rating of last year in it's own right? Though of course Mrs Brown's Boys will actually be higher in the list than that because the final rating for the Christmas Day episode was bigger still.

EDIT: Actually not sure how much higher the Christmas Day episode will be - that timeshift for the Monday episode is actually bigger than what the Christmas Day episode got! 11.52m for the Christmas episode and now 11.27m. Extraordinary.

Let the excuses commence.

Didn't people say that EE would increase after the huge response on Twitter due to Johnny coming out? It got no boost whatsoever.

Yes. It's a credit to Corrie that it can, after 50 years, still bring home the ratings. Pat's death in EastEnders was speculated to be one of the biggest rating soap eps ever, but it wasn't in the end. (11m wasn't it?). I think Hayley's death could ultimately reach 12m viewers. Ratings for TV shows at the moment are huge! What's going on?

No excuses needed. It's been discussed several times. You're just a bit of a antagoniser.

Out of interest, if EastEnders was repeated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10.35pm on BBC1 instead of BBC3, how would that affect the overnights?

And, what are the consolidated EE figures for the BBC3 repeats?

I player numbers for Christmas.
Some of these are huge. There will be quite a sudden increase in ratings when online viewing is finally added to ratings.

Pat's departure was seen by less people than Becky McDonald's in Corrie a few weeks later. That got 12m? I think Hayley's last episode could too.

Some of those numbers are huge. EastEnders also makes up most of the top 10. Can't see why the BBC would be worried about EE at all with these numbers tbh.

An interview with the actress playing Hayley was one of the most read stories on BBC News online as of this morning. There does seem to be a lot of interest as we move towards her final episode.

it didn't go down either... How's that for consistency

And seeing as you like to gloat, now someone else's turn take a look at the i-player number for Xmas and see just how much people wanna see EE... incredible... See what negative spin you can put on that.

Tremendous figures for EastEnders. It certainly puts a new perspective on things.

Haha ah no problem!

As you say those figures are amazing and yes the timeshift for the Monday episode (the far better episode in my opinion) was higher which we knew would happen due to the slot it was in.

25 Dec timeshift - 2.12m
30 Dec timeshift - 2.56m
