I made the mistake of buying a shop bought trifle for our Christmas day pudding. The cream had an odd, bitty texture to it but didn't taste strange in any way. Not fancying food poisoning for Christmas I'm a bit anxious. Will it have been ok?

It hasn't been frozen and my fridge isn't THAT cold. I was wondering if it had been overwhipped and had split. Possible?

I though this was going to be a recipe for breast milk whipped cream.

I leave disappointed.

i would buy plenty of toilet rolls just in case.

If in doubt, why did you eat it?

Sounds like it was over whipped you won't get ill but it's not usually nice to eat.

I didn't but obviously without tasting any of it I wouldn't have known!

No ill effects but it's put me right off.

That thread title conjured up the most horrible images. I think I'll leave off the whipped cream for a bit.
