My kids are looking to get tablets with their Christmas money. They use our phones to play games like Simpsons tapped out and other similar miniclip games. I have been looking on Amazon and have found a couple of tablets7" Running on the allwinner A20 processor 4.2 jellybean os,4gb memory and 512mb ram. I know these are not by any means hi spec tablets but would like feedback from people who own similar spec device

I would really try and squeeze a bit more if you can, or buy a better tablet that they can share.

This Kobo is a good buy at the price...

My concern would not so much be specs as build quality

Argos currently have this Appstar by Binatone at less than half price at £49.99, no idea what it is like, just thought I would throw it in there as it is under £50

No good getting one to share would be to many fights. The kobo looks good but the kids have a budget. Have looked at the binatone appstar. Its spec is lower than what you get for that price elsewhere. Like many things they hike up the price and lower the spec when its aimed at kids.

Go to CEX then you can try before you buy.
They have a large selection of tablets to suit your budget, although second hand they give a one year warranty.

Do they have £50 each or between them? Personally I would stump up the extra cash and go for the kobo's.
