Trouble With An American Werewolf In London
Rag

Hi,

Has anyone been experiencing any problems with the extras disk - in particular the behind the scenes option - when I select this my DVD plaer returns to the "boot-up" screen with STOP being displayed on the player. I have an LG-3200E player

This is a firmware problem as I had the same problem with a disc that came with a PS2 magazine. If it is still under the manufacturers 1 year guarantee then phone them up and they will take your old machine away and replace it with a 4210 which should then be able to play the features.

In my case the manufacturers guarantee was up but I had bought it from WHSmith, which came with an extra 5 years guarentee free and so I was able to exchange it that way.

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks - I got mine from WHSmith so it should be under warrenty - did they pick it up and deliver the new one on the same day? and is the 4210 region free hackable like the 3200?

Many Thanks

Yes they got a courier to come to my house with the new 4210 and he took away the 3200E at the same time. You need to open up the new one before handing over old one as you have to send back any leads that come with 4210 but didnt come with 3200E.

In response to 2nd question, yes it is region hackable via the same code as the 3200E. This was a plus for me as my 3200E was one of the first (v1.0) firmware and so these werent region hackable in the first place.

Hope this helps.

Are there any extra features (or loss of features) with the 4210?

There are a few extra features with 4210.
One is 15 disc memory (it will remember up to the last 15 discs that you watched and if for instance you were watching a disc and stopped it and removed the disc, then the next time you play it, it will ask if you want to resume from where you last left off or start from the main menu again).
Also it has a screensaver, and it will play vcds but only if it is an original pressed one (not one on cdr or cdrw)
