The Sony has no long wave and no DAB. The Roberts is only missing DAB.

You're in an unusual situation then - most places get far better FM and AM than DAB.

But you're talking a lot more money for a radio with DAB, and much shorter battery life.

I have a Pure 1500 (which is DAB + FM). I get 20hrs+ running in DAB mode from a full charge, though I do accept the unit costs more than a little fm-am only unit. My Pure did come with semi ok Sennheiser in the ear headphones though.

Perhaps I should point out here, that Roberts effectively ceased to exist long ago, and Roberts is just cheap Chinese stuff these days - and belongs to the Morphy Richards group.

Both the Roberts and the Sony are just cheap portable radios, made for price and portability, not performance.

It's a good radio, the only slight niggle I have is that the headphone jack is on top rather than the side, strange place for it. Very good tuner and sound quality. Obviously the reception from the tuner and sound quality, will depend on where you use it, and with what headphones.

As I said above, it's a cheap Chinese small portable - it does what you'd expect of it.
