My older collie has had a poor appetite recently.
The vet checked her over and did a urine test and there was nothing obvious wrong. If it continues we will investigate further. In the meantime he gave her a vit B shot - he said it often perks up appetite. I suppose it's possible also that her home cooked diet has been insufficient.
Just wondered if anyone else's pet had been given B shots?

One of my dogs gets VitB complex tablets, because he cant eat certain foods. I buy it from my holistic Vet.

It is an apetite stimulant not just for animals but humans too. I was put on it when I was a kid because I never ever gained weight. There was nothing at all wrong with my appetite but I ate all the more on that and still didn't gain weight.

And is it the same now? My ex was proof that two people can eat the same things but one puts on weight and the other stays drip thin (he was the thin one!)
