My Acer tablet doesn't support flash, so I am unable to watch video clips on Facebook. Is there anyway of getting around this? I can't watch them on my phone, so it's annoying that I can't watch them on my tablet either.
Thanks.

Thank you. I might not bother then if it has risks. Not worth it for the amount of friends videos I would be watching on Facebook.

The Goggle Chrome browser has the Flash Player built in.

No, Google Chrome on Android has never supported Flash, and never will.

Chrome for Android will not be supporting Flash. As you may have seen in November, 2011, Adobe announced it has stopped investing in Flash for mobile browsing. Google has long been committed to making the web platform more powerful through open web technologies like HTML5 and is working with Adobe and other partners to further advance the web standard.

Android stopped supporting flash at 4.1

I'm using the latest Firefox for android browser on 4.3, and it works - not perfectly, around 90%, but it does what I want.

Are Youtube adding video playout capabilities to their native Android client?

Windows tablets can still do Flash.

HTML 5 is the new technology, but a lot of sites have yet to catch up with it.

My Android Asus Transformer TF300T plays flash video fine?
I've seen a few tutorials on the net for installing the flash plugin.
A quick search should dig it up for you?

Regards,

So what is the best way to get flash on a Nexus 7 (2013)?

adobe stopped releasing the flash player plugin but it still works on android 4.3, (and probably 4.4 though my phone isnt on that yet), you just need to download it from various links and sideload it.

Chrome on android wont support it but pretty much every other browser does

I would have thought risks from facebook flash videos was very minimal.

I had flash on my nexus 4 using dolphin but it stopped working when i updated to kitkat.

Doesn't Puffin browser support flash, although with some restrictions, as it goes through their servers.
It should be safe though.

Does the Facebook app not display them in a format you can watch?

Is it just the free one that only works between 9am-4pm or can you use it at any time?

My Archos 80 always informed me flash was not supported for this particular device, I looked into it further and found that even though it had been removed from the app store I could still download it from Adobes archive flash versions page, works a treat - might be worth investigating....

Have added Flash to my Nexus 7, via the Dolphin browser but when I go to VirginMedia Anywhere it just hangs with "Detecting Device"

In Dolphin how can I check that the flash has installed correctly (It does show up under setings)?

Way to go. Just tried this on my moto g phone, and worked a treat - much better than Puffin. Only minor pain is ad bar in landscape mode covers part of screen (ok in full screen mode). Upgraded to Pro version - no ads.
I have removed flash now as it takes up quite a few MB.

Downloaded Flashfox but it won't work properly. When I watch a flash stream it initially starts fine but then the picture goes into a tiny wee screen. It's so small I can't even zoom in to make it anywhere near full screen. Anyone else have this?

The Facebook app is able to play videos on the Nexus devices, so it should probably work on any Android tablet. Are those who are having problems visiting Facebook.com in a browser rather than using the app?
