Anyway, when Johnny meets a guy and starts dating him- I feel that we'll actually see their journey, for example the build up to their first kiss, instead of a meeting/drink/night of passion, and then they're together- all in one maybe two episodes. From watching SOC's start at EE, I feel he takes time to give the characters some depth, and I think that's really refreshing to see!

Hope it makes sense, lol! ”

Yes, the scenes after Paul's death was DTC's work (though I think at the point of filming he'd technically left as producer, but obviously he'd plotted beyond his leaving date.) I agree they were nice scenes, but all too few, and I didn't like the way there was no resolution after Ben was so horrible to Johnny.

It would be really nice to see Johnny embark on a brand new relationship with all the pre-relationship 'will they won't they' jitters, first kiss, first time being intimate etc. We'll have to wait and see whether that's the plan for him.

Some decent scenes with Johnny tonight; I enjoyed his line to Whitney when she said it was bad luck for him to see her, and his concern for Lee becoming more evident. He is very astute, much more so than his parents and Whitney. With Lee taking out the loan you can see where the story is heading now and it will undoubtedly have a huge effect on Johnny when things go wrong. There should be some very emotional scenes for him as a result.

I'm looking forward to the stag party and how Johnny gets on with it; he did make me laugh today when he was trying to work out what he was supposed to do to Lee. I won't be watching until Tuesday as I'm going away this weekend but it should be a good episode.

Seen the 28th ep!

I love how they're keeping Steven and Johnny at arms length and giving scenes here or there, like teasing us.
They literally sat at the bar together the whole stagg

It was good to see Johnny and Steven together even if there nothing much to it. I am not surprised they were together for most of the night as they were a bit isolated from the army lads and EE residents all a bit older than them.

I felt for Johnny who was struggling to be in control of the stag party not easy with a bunch of army lads but Mick noticed and stepped in to make sure they took part in the games. Also Lee telling Johnny that he did a great job as best man was sweet and you could tell Johnny needed that.

Overall not a bad stag night but let down by the fact they never stripped Lee on screen as Mick promise. We have had Martin in his boxers in the Vic and Kush tied to the railing in his boxers and it would have nice to have see Lee added to the list for comparison reasons of course

The producers are either hinting at something or teasing us at this point with Johven , ugh. I can't stand it but if it does happen then a slow build is worth the wait

I liked stagg night, it wasn't what I thought it'd be but people keep saying Lee is gonna commit suicide for some reason.
I'm still not over Lee leaving.

How are they tho? Except for Aaron acknowledging its fan popularity a couple of times, there's been nothing even vaguely hinted at on the show beyond five seconds of flirty banter when Steven first arrived.

They don't speak, there's no camera angles focusing on them being aware of each other's presence, no third party has suggested it. As fun as that relationship would be, there has been absolutely nothing to suggest they're going to go there.

Actually there has, aside from their meeting scene which wasn't just random, there was definitely something there and a lot of people see it and their chemistry. the producers know it's something a lot of fans want to see. I personally don't think it's something of coincidence that they have had a few background scenes together talking ever since their first meeting.

But then again, I did say they could be teasing us too lol but I just don't feel they will let it go especially since it got such a good reception during first meeting from the media.
Hopefully not.

I would agree that at the moment this is the situation. In fact since Steven's return there has been no mention that he had interest in men and it is possible this part of his backstory could be dropped

That said this week we have seen that the Lauren/Steven relationship is fragile and the mention of Peter has increased speculation that he may return and I would assume Lauren would leave Steven for Peter. In that situation we might see them reopen Steven's sexuality and a possible affair with Johnny.

A few bits and pieces of Johnny information.....

First of all Johnny appears heavily in the new EE trailer for the week ahead. Looks like a good week https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5WNEqwGm9s

Johnny is on the cast list for 7 November but not 8 November. After the Carter heavy week not a surprise that the following week it could be quiet

Finally if you watch the Stag night episode look out for Lee and Steven having a serious conversation and behind them there is fun and games with Johnny, Martin , Kush and Shrimpy ending with Johnny taking a shot and having something poured down him by Martin

One further piece of Johnny news - Johnny and Lee pictured at Jack and Ronnie's wedding filmed last week. Pictures of the wedding being filmed leaked today which I think is being aired on NYE

Episodes like tonight make me wonder - what's the point?

I mean fair enough, it wasn't just Ted. Even Danny and Kellie got just a line.

I hope Ted's predictions of a new big storyline comes up soon - the storyline we're all waiting for!

If Johnny has a big storyline it will take place when Linda and Lee leave probably early 2017. A slimed down Carter family is an ideal opportunity for Johnny to take centre stage

I wonder if Linda's exit storyline relates to Elaine who was mentioned hit her head after a fall. Looking pretty certain Linda will leave after Christmas to look after Elaine and maybe Lee joins her to run the pub and ends up taking over the pub (Whitney probably refuses to leave or they split)

Caught up on the last few episodes I missed. The best one for Johnny was obviously the stag do which I loved. It felt so true to his character throughout with all the worrying he was doing about it going well, and the issues he had with organising everyone. I was majorly cringing when he was trying to do the game with them, but it was really cute the way he kept persevering with it and how Mick helped him out in the end.

It's a shame that he didn't have more of a 'moment' with Steven but at this point I've given up on it to be honest. I do wonder how he's gone from basically gawping at him during their first meeting because he fancied him so much to barely noticing he's there. This is the trouble with Johnny, he's rarely written as someone with a distinctive and consistent personality, he's often just led by what the scene needs. But that's a minor criticism as I did really enjoy him in this episode. Another missed opportunity was the fact that there was no interaction between him and Lee's army mates. I think this would have been quite interesting to see, but I guess there was a lot going on already so probably wasn't feasible from a practical point of view.

On a note related to our speculation about a potential eating disorder for him, I did wonder if it was significant that he kept his jacket on the entire time. To me, that would indicate that someone is feeling insecure about their body. But of course I'm probably reading too much into it!

Not much to say about Monday and Tuesday's episodes really. I wonder if Lee is going to be angry with him now that Whitney has let it slip that Johnny knew the truth about the miscarriage?

He'll feature more in the next two episodes this week, if that advert is anything to go by, but he's then only in Monday's episode next week so we could be approaching another quiet period for him.

Interesting to see that Lee is still there for the New Year's episode at least. I did wonder if he might be killed off in this episode if they were planning a big stunt to get rid of Ronnie and Roxy, but the recent spoilers for Ronnie and Roxy's exits suggest that they'll be the only two to die. It also seems increasingly likely that Lee will leave at the end of Danny Boy's contract which presumably is in April which is when Lee arrived. I do wonder why they announced him leaving so early if this is the case? To be honest it's kind of spoiled my enjoyment of Lee's current storyline as I keep looking for reasons why he might leave.

On a completely different note, Sam tweeted the other day that he was working with Paterson Joseph, who is a British actor that was in Green Wing and Peep Show. I wonder what they're filming? Paterson's more recent credits on IMDB include an American show called Timeless which is airing its first season, and more episodes have been ordered for it:

http://tvline.com/2016/11/01/timeles...c-full-season/

So it could quite possibly be that. The show is produced by Eric Kripke whose last produced show was a little known thing called Supernatural. Paterson was also in a pilot earlier this year for a BBC show called The Coopers vs The Rest which I guess could also have been commissioned for more episodes but I don't think Sam is back in the UK so that's less likely. In any case, it's good to see that Sam is working again.

Seems my speculation about Sam appearing in Timeless was correct:

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/27...rs-sam-strike/

He'll be playing Clyde (as in Bonnie and Clyde) in one of the episodes. Interesting part for Sam. I don't know too much about the real life Bonnie and Clyde but I've seen the 1960s film with Warren Beatty as Clyde and from what I can remember he was portrayed as very handsome and charismatic in that.

Anyway, it's great to see Sam has a fun role lined up.

Nice to hear Sam is back acting

Being a sci-fi fan I am always looking out for US shows that come to the UK and I saw this mentioned earlier in the year so will be watching this (at last Sam is a genre that I like). E4 have the UK rights but I don't think there is any airdate likely to be early 2017 I think.

Nothing much to say on Johnny this week but the next two episode should be more interesting

Did not really enjoy tonight's episode.

I thought Johnny went a bit overboard in pushing Lee to tell Whitney about the loan of the wedding when he knew she was stressed. It could have waited until after the wedding. I understand where Johnny was coming from but he did not handle that too well.

Hoping tomorrow we will see Johnny supporting Lee and not hassling him about the loan making sure he gets through the wedding.

Johnny was really annoying in tonight's episode. And the direction for Ted was terrible with all the marching around he had to do. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Johnny was a hand full tonight.
I hope they aren't going where I think they are..

I'm a fan of Johnny and it pains me to say but he's honestly coming off miserable and jealous to me.
He knows how bad Lee can be on himself, he doesn't need to grill it into him like that.
He's just really off-putting, hopefully he actually supports his brother tomorrow.

Ted can be so great if they just gave him the right stuff to do! He's cute and charming, but all this moping around being a boring nag is bringing the character down.

I just hope the writing for Johnny's character is better in tonight's episode. Honestly, it's like Russian Roulette when it comes to the way Johnny is written. I'd hoped that SOC would have a clearer vision for him but his character was such a mess in last night's episode that it seems obvious he's still being written to suit the scene rather than in a way that's true to his character.

How did they get Johnny so wrong in yesterday's episode and so right in tonight's? I can't deal with my emotions going from one extreme to the other!

And well well well, Ben/Johnny is almost certainly on the horizon by the looks of things. I don't think Ben would even have been put off by his mum and stepmum watching. He was all over Johnny!

I was coming here to say just that. Johnny was sweet and funny and natural tonight, I enjoyed every scene he was in! More proof for the haters that Ted can bring it if he's given decent material to work with. He has a cuteness and cheekiness to him that doesn't go well with the boring nag they turned him into last night. They need to play to his strengths and they did that tonight.

Yooooooooooooooooooo! As this forum's resident Ben/Johnny shipper, I was so happy with that scene. For the last half of the episode I was hoping they'd have a scene together, but I never expected it to be like that! I know Ben is in a terrible place right now and obviously nothing was going to happen, but the foundations are being laid.

THE FOUNDATIONS ARE BEING LAID!

Being on a gap year, it's hard to keep interest with EE. But I was glad I saw tonight's episode, Johnny was good again.

Johnny was the reason that I started watching EE and this episode reminded me of why I loved him: he's a character that has so much similarity to my own story and when he has one, his personality is similar to my own.

I'm interested to see where Johnny and Ben is going to go, it's funny that history has repeated once again with Ben trying it on with Johnny after troubles at home, but Johnny rebounding him despite it being unclear whether or not he actually reciprocates the feelings.

They did so much better with Johnny tonight.
Thank GOODNESS he showed support, I loved his moments with Lee.

As for the Ben scene, it just seems like something that's gonna fuel Ben's latest rant storyline.
I highly doubt anything is gonna happen once again though, they just have no chemistry and once again it's a one-sided thing. And the relationship would more so revolve around Ben which does not interest me, plus the writers won't even have ben apologize to johnny for the harsh words before.
