That's what I figured would happen. Him possibly hearing the attack does open up more storyline potential in the sense that he may hear a vital clue to who the attacker is, but to be honest I'm not too happy with it being written this way as I think he'll get a lot of the blame. The reality may be that he simply 'freezes' and is too scared to do anything.

If he does hear it then I expect the Friday episode will be him apologising to Sharon, or breaking down at her bedside.

The Linda stuff is quite intriguing; if she 'humiliates' him then this would suggest that she herself reveals that maybe he did something cowardly but she's the one urging him not to say anything. Unless someone overhears them, maybe?

Yeah it unfortunately looks like they're gonna write Johnny as a frowned upon character from this by other characters because he didn't jump to Sharon's defence. I hope I'm wrong and he's just upstairs and weary to come down - and when he does he finds Sharon. Yeah he'd feel scared and bad for not being there sooner but not aware of the whole attack and too scared to do anything.

I have sympathy for him either way. People always complain about how all the guys in EE are written as 'hardmen' who act first and think later (or not at all) so I think it's good to see the alternative to that: Johnny just being too petrified to move and take action. But I don't know, I'm just worried about how he'll be written. Hopefully the writer of that episode will be someone that 'gets' his character as some of the EE writers are much better at this than others.

On the Linda thing, I just thought that maybe she just emotionally humiliates him by making him feel a failure for not helping Sharon. I'm very intrigued to see what happens between them.

I'd have sympathy for him either way too - I just don't wanna see him get stick from his family and the Mitchells for the perception of not helping Sharon as much as he could have. I'd just imagine he'd be shaken up. Hopefully they'll have a good writer in, maybe Daran Little who wrote his coming out episodes. And you're probably right about Linda.

This makes it seem like Johnny knows the attack is happening... or maybe doesn't realise that Sharon is being attacked but knows that The Albert has been broken into?

I wonder how the Thursday spoiler about Johnny and Linda fits in with the one about him being humiliated by her?

Can't believe I'm away on holiday this week, sounds like Johnny is going to be a main character.

so sharon & johnny are about to close for the night, and johnny heads upstairs to clean the 1st floor and sharon takes care of the ground floor. little later someone breaks in and attacks sharon leaving her for dead, whilst johnny is upstairs hiding??

maybe sharon tells him she's heading out for a bit, so he walks upstairs to begin the cleaning up, but before sharon leaves she gets attacked, and Johnny hears some commotion downstairs thinking it's burglars, and decide to hide. when he can't hear anything, he ventures downstairs and to his shock find sharon on the floor....

And for the record even if he was hiding as those spoilers said I wouldn't blame him. If hypothetically speaking he confessed to me that he hid and was shaken up as Sharon was attacked at the bar I'd probably give him the biggest hug and tell him "You've done nothing wrong, mate." He'd probably still be shaken up from the attack, bless him. I doubt I'd have the balls to stand up to the attacker in his situation tbh, as much as I'd wanna protect myself and Sharon (or other hypothetical example/s: friend, family member, work colleague).
