Yay!

I think going by the trailer that week he might help somehow with the Slater fire. I also think he has a haircut too. I think the scene with him in the pink shirt is this week - Stan's birthday party the private party? Might be wrong, could be Sharon's wedding.

Anyway good to see more Johnny in the cast lists. Happy Neu.

Also have a look out on social media tonight, believe its the TV Choice Awards. Wonder if Sam will be there, think he's nominated for something too.

I think the pink shirt scene is more likely to be Sharon's wedding, can't imagine Stan wanting his grandchildren to dress in pink for his birthday. Although Johnny's hair did look shorter in the explosion scene, so you would have thought that would come after. To be fair, it was a very short clip so it was difficult to tell. Or maybe it's just bad continuity and they filmed the wedding scenes before the explosion scenes.

I wonder if Sam will be at the TV Choice Awards tonight? Got all my fingers crossed for a Sam or Maddy win for Best Newcomer, though I have a feeling they'll split the vote and Kirsty-Leigh Porter will get it.

Quite a few pictures of Johnny's scenes to do with the fire next week (you have to scroll through the gallery at the top of the page to get to them):

http://m.holymoly.com/tv/pictures/ea...ing-again70553

It definitely looks like he gets involved with helping out, he's got a stunt guy and everything.

Interesting that Johnny doesn't hesitate to help with this but froze with fear during Sharon's attack. Hopefully there's some acknowledgement of this from the writers and it isn't just bad continuity.

If theres any justice it'll be Sam or Maddy for Best Newcomer, ideally Sam as Maddy got the British Soap Award.

Hopefully he'll be there looking very handsome

Yeah that is odd, he's helping out at a fire but he's supposed to be quite under confident and conscientious - and as you say, the Albert attack seems forgotten on Johnny's part. Good to see Johnny helping out regardless though Though I would from a character continuity perspective expect at least some hesitation before presumably going into a burning building - just from what we know of Johnny thus far.

A few pics of the Carters cropping up from the TV Choice Awards now guys, so look out for those, especially on Twitter. Must say Sam Strike is looking incredibly handsome. And his hair is short again. He wears a suit darn well.

His hair looks really cool (as per norm but especially here)

As they're updating every 3 minutes or so with the next award unless they have a break I'd imagine 22:24 or 22:25 for the announcement for Best Soap Newcomer - look out for that on the TV Choice nominations page or Twitter.

Kirsty won, grrr. As predicted, Sam and Maddy must have split their vote.

Ahh man! Kirsty Leigh Porter (HO) got it. I was sure one of the Carter kids had it in the bag.

Well, Im gonna say well done to Sam Strike regardless, he was my winner.

Seems the 'Enders vote really was split. I admit I adore Kirsty-Leigh and she's had so much and good material recently. Sam hasn't so much, regular viewers most likely will have forgotten the coming out scene (even though it's unforgettable IMHO) Still got Inside Soap and NTA's hopefully

I do like Kirsty, one of the few decent castings HO has managed this year, but it kind of annoys me as she isn't a soap newcomer, she was in CS (or was it ED?) before HO. Whereas for Sam and Maddy they are genuinely new to soap, and dramatic acting in general.

Anyway I'm sure that neither of them care in the slightest but it would have been nice for EE to clean up with all the categories. Congrats to Danny for best actor.

I agree shes a very good casting. She has been in both! She played a girlfriend of David Platt's called Zoe to if I remember correctly make Tina jealous. And she played Ros in Emmerdale who got Holly Barton addicted to Cocaine and Heroin.
It would've been nice for a real soap newcomer to win! (Michael Parr was in 1 ep of HO too)

So happy for Danny!

Oh well, I suppose I'm relieved that it's Kirsty that won it and not one of the truly awful newcomers to HO this year like Grace.

Backstage pics of the Slater fire (including a clearer one of Ben Hardy and Sam with their stunt doubles - LMAO at the wig on Ben's one ):

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2...oPlwc9PyCHI3dl

And an article about Peter and Johnny rushing in to help:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2...into-fire.html

It will be interesting to see if Mick goes to the police and reports Alfie. I'd quite like to see that happen. It still annoys me that both Linda and Shirley know that Phil was behind the attack on The Albert but never once got angry about the fact that Johnny was put in danger as well as Sharon. I could see Mick being furious about the fact that Johnny's life was put in danger and decide he has no choice but to report Alfie. I'd prefer to see that then the whole nice guy Mick act which has been stretched to the limit in terms of believability since the whole sorry kerb-crawling saga with Ian.

Basically, I just want to see Mick get tough now with people outside of the family. This could be the start of that.

Also it's great that Johnny is involved with both this and Sharon's wedding, two of the major September events. I really didn't think we'd see much of him this month so I'm relived to be proved wrong.

True, Kirsty is one of the better HO newcomers this year - though there are worse newcomers than Grace imo, such as the Roscoes (minus Robbie) and new Sonny - and Vincent. She was third on my list of who I wanted to win, behind Maddie (2nd) and Sam (1st).

Yeah suddenly Johnny's a lot more confident and not the anxious man he was a few months back - maybe we're meant to assume that Linda accepting his sexuality and Gianluca gave him a real confidence boost and that has continued offscreen - or so we're meant to assume. Maybe Mick doesn't report Alfie and lets his family down again for someone he doesn't know - maybe that unveils the more aggressive Mick? That would also chip away at the Carter unit more in time for the Dean/Linda SL.

I had a feeling we'd see more of Johnny this month, so I'm glad. I do find it odd that out of everyone its Peter and Johnny going into a burning building - the two hunkiest teen males in the Square - tryna scare female and gay male viewers to death. I'd also expect a nice Johnny/Mick scene on the Tuesday or Thursday episode, maybe with them hugging and Mick welling up and saying "I'm proud of you son...." and "You scared me to death!" or Cockney equivalent.

Also just read an All About Soap interview with the new Ben, and he said that there won't be any romance for the new Ben anytime soon as he feels that relationships cause problems and he can only trust himself when he joins - though he acknowledges that it would be nice if Ben did meet someone on the Square. Maybe if in the unlikely circumstance that Johnny/Ben did happen that they'd both be equally wary of the other, at least initially.

Thanks for the information from the Ben interview. It's good that he won't be rushing straight into a relationship, with Johnny or anyone else really. If they do decide to put Johnny and Ben together eventually, hopefully they'll take their time and develop Johnny and Ben's feelings for each other in a realistic way. I don't mind them getting together, just not if Ben is completely like he was when he left last time.

Aww he was barely in it part from one small scene. Love how Linda still calls him 'sausage'

He looked cute too, liking the haircut.

Me thinks theres gonna be more hair continuity issues going on for a few Johnny eps yet though lol.
