Sorry Neu did not see you earlier Post when you posted the news of the cast list I think I was too excited that Johnny would be on the Christmas Day episode
![]() I think Johnny will leave on the 23rd and we might get him on Skype talking to the family. If that was to be his last scene that would a nice way to finish. At least we will have something nice to look forward to on Christmas night

![]() ![]() ![]() And if he appears on something like Skype on Christmas Day wouldn't he be further down the cast list, or at the bottom as he would only appear for about minute tops |

![]() I think Johnny will leave on the 23rd and we might get him on Skype talking to the family. If that was to be his last scene that would a nice way to finish. At least we will have something nice to look forward to on Christmas night ![]() I also think it will be a Skype call to his family and that will be nice to see. I'm actually wondering if they've put this scene in due to the big response on Twitter when that Carter family Christmas photo started circulating without Johnny in it. I think it will be easier to tell when we watch the episode whether they added it in at the last minute or not, but it's not outside the realms of possibility that they did ask Sam to do it because they mis-underestimated how much people would miss Johnny, especially at Christmas, and he agreed.Looking at the spoilers about Mick proposing to Linda, and the fact that I'm almost certain the wedding will go ahead at some point (to give them some happiness after Linda's trauma), I'm wondering how they would get round Johnny not being there? I can believe there are certain things he wouldn't come back for, even Stan's funeral, but surely not his parent's wedding?! It would be nice if Sam could give the occasional guest appearance if he doesn't want a full time return at some point, providing he isn't too busy with other projects of course. Either that or they're going to have to recast him at some point. They really made a rod for their own back by making Johnny so close to everyone in his family. |

Either that or they're going to have to recast him at some point. They really made a rod for their own back by making Johnny so close to everyone in his family. We are going to see Johnny miss Stan's funeral, the birth of his brother/sister and possibly his parents wedding. EE are used to coming up with excuses why close relatives don't turn up for big family occasions or they just say nothing!. It will happen with Johnny but there is not much they can do about it. There is always the hope that Sam will agree to come back for special appearances maybe for the wedding but that depends on a lot of factors. The other possibility is that the Mick/Linda wedding could be where Johnny makes a return with a new actor if they decide to go for a quick recast. |

It is all a bit odd at the moment with Johnny going about as normal with random scenes including in Friday's episode with the Dean/Stacey scene about Whitney birthday but there is nothing in tonight's episode, the scooter thing and we also have the Johnny telling his parents he has passed his exams with flying colours.
It is interesting that EE have used Sam's time for these "filler" scenes (and the ones to come) and not much on the exit storyline as it takes place in one episode (with an extra scene on Christmas Day). The fact Johnny leaves a couple of days before Christmas also makes the exit intriguing. What could make Johnny leave so quickly with Mick/Linda's blessing? Just a reminder we do have Johnny on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week to look forward to

I just thought, unless Johnny and Ben have a scene on Tuesday this week they won't have any more episodes with them both in now. I do feel like there would need to be some closure on these two, either a fallout and/or them shaking hands and making up before Johnny goes. This may prompt Ben to accept his sexuality more and possibly dump Abi. Otherwise what was the point in this storyline?
Additionally it doesn't look as though Johnny will be sharing any scenes with Sharon or Whitney (definitely not the latter) in the run-up to his exit. Surely he's gotta share scenes with these three (as well as the Carters obviously) before he leaves on Christmas Day? This is all so rushed. ![]() EDIT: As Whitney was there for Johnny when he came out, and how Sharon and Johnny bonded at the Albert, you'd think scenes between them would happen. Maybe Johnny tells Whitney he's leaving Albert Square and Whitney gets upset and possibly has a go at Johnny (partly for friendship, but as she was in love with Johnny those feelings would still be there possibly even though she's with Lee now). Then when Johnny is ready to leave on his Vespa outside the Vic Whitney appears and they make up and have a nice hug before Johnny goes. Maybe Johnny also could pop into the Albert and have a nice scene with Sharon, though obviously handing his resignation in as well. They share nice words with each other before hugging. |

The exit storyline is all done on 23 December with Ben, Sharon and Whitney not appearing in that episode so sadly no goodbye scenes with them
![]() Edit Also no goodbye to Shirley as well |

So it looks like Johnny is off to Italy with Gianluca as we thought. Who else checked to see the names of the other people on Johnny's phone
![]() On a completely different note does anyone else find it annoying when Mick addresses Johnny as "boy" that would really annoy me. |

I don't think he means anything bad by it, its more of a protective thing that Mick has for his kids. Naughty Johnny putting his foot down! Haven't really seen that for a while |

So... Johnny asking Gianluca if he can stay with him "for a bit" hardly indicates a permanent move. I suppose once he's gone we'll get word that he's enjoying it so much that he won't be coming back, but to be honest I'd rather they just had him transfer to a university in Italy rather than just have Johnny chuck in his studies on a whim.

I like the way the overprotectiveness of Linda is back in regards to Johnny, their storylines were much better when this was an issue.

I doubt they would have done the scene where he passed his exams with flying colours if he was just going to drop out of university. Surely his exit will include him transferring to a university in Italy. It is the only way Mick and LInda would be prepared to let him go

Sam's latest tweet, responding to a rumour he's going to be appearing in Celebrity Big Brother, genuinely made me laugh out loud.
