Thank you for the link. It's a little out of date by the looks of things as he's obviously no longer in EE and he isn't dating Dani Dyer - I'm not sure he ever was but he definitely isn't now. His girlfriend is Aurora Perrineau who he lives with in America.
Nothing from the early spoilers/previews for w/b 21 March to indicate that Johnny returns. It is possible however that EE want to keep the return a surprise so he won't appear in any previews or cast lists. Still thinking he might turn up right at the end of the Good Friday episode maybe with the doof doof moment

They may be deliberately leaving his return out of the spoilers although I'm not sure why they would unless there's some big shock surrounding his homecoming. Hopefully he'll come back w/c 28th March so that I don't have to wait the whole long weekend to watch.
Just seen that it has been announced Maddie Hill is leaving and has filmed her final scenes alongside Himesh Patel who plays Tanwar. They decided last summer they wanted to leave.
It looks like the decision to recast Johnny so quickly was done in response to Maddie's decision to leave. Johnny returns and then Nancy leaves
It is sad that we won't have the whole Carter family back for much longer as I was looking forward to that. Having Johnny back is great but not the same without Nancy

I'm shocked by this but yes I can see now why the Johnny recast was rushed through so quickly. Such a shame, I loved Nancy and Johnny's relationship, and though Nancy has made some bad decisions recently she was still one of my favourite characters.

Ted posted a tweet thanking Maddie, Danny-Boy, Linda for their help on his first week which was w/b 22 Feb so they definitely do meet up before she leaves.

Oh that's good, it would have been such a shame if they'd passed like ships in the night!
Maybe Nancy takes inspiration from Johnny's tales of travelling and her and Tam decide to do some travelling themselves? I hope she leaves on good terms with her family.
It looks like the DVD release of Sam Strike's Bonded by Blood 2 has been delayed again. it was due to be released on 21 March but a message on Facebook says that it will now be released late Spring/early Summer time with May being suggested.
Amazon have Monday as the release date but with no trailer or publicity being done I think the May date seems likely. It appears down to the UK distributor but not a great news I guess for the film to miss Christmas and Easter periods
I cannot help wonder where Sam might be going with his acting Three roles filmed before summer last year then nothing. These roles were a relatively minor part in a TV show, straight to DVD video delayed for 5 months and a movie of which we don't know what the release plans are.

Yes, I agree, I'd really like some news from Sam but maybe nothing new has come up recently. A couple of months ago he tweeted about going to an acting class and also about bumping into Bobby Lockwood at an audition so he is clearly trying to find work. The truth is that Hollywood is competitive and at the moment he's had no real recognition out there other than Leatherface (which hasn't been released yet), so maybe it will be a case of waiting to see how Leatherface plays out as that might open some doors for him. I do hope we get some news sooner than that, though. He's such a talented young actor and it would be a real waste if he doesn't fulfil his potential.
On a Johnny note I hope we get some hints in the midnight spoilers tonight about his return but if he does come back w/c the 4th then it's more likely to be next week now. That's even if it's in the spoilers; they may keep it as a surprise.

I think that Johnny will make a suprise return and announces he is staying to go back studying and maybe he is missing his family. I could see that he convinces Nancy to leave and take up a new opportunity with Tanwar or do some travelling.
Tanwar is back from Scotland next week I think and just wonder if gets a job or business opportunity maybe running a restuarant or pub and asks Nancy to join him
I've just had a look in Inside Soap magazine for the mini spoilers for the week after and it says that Elaine comes back to sort the Carters out on w/c 28th, but nothing about Johnny.
I'm confident, however, that he'll be on screen within three or four more weeks maximum due to the fact that Ted started filming in the last week of February and EE is generally six weeks ahead in terms of filming. I personally could do without a surprise entrance as we all know he's going to be in it soon and I'd rather have some pictures of his first week (and an interview with Ted) but I suppose I'm just being impatient.

There's a spoiler about Linda being determined to reunite the family on the Friday of that week so I'd imagine we'll see him early the week after. Not quite the end of March that the original article about his return said about but close enough I guess!
Bonded by Blood 2 is now to be released at the end of September according to Amazon.

I've never understood the point of pushing back film release dates once they're ready to be put out. It's not like the distributors will be sending much money advertising it, so just put it out when it's ready and while the actors are still committed to creating a bit of a buzz about it on Twitter.
I'll repeat my usual Monday mantra: I hope tonight is the night we finally get some news on Johnny's return, or at least in the 'Coming up' spoilers in the soap magazines tomorrow.
I'm not entirely sure how soap magazines work in terms of dates, but this spoiler thread suggests to me that Johnny will be back w/c 11th April:

I was hoping for a start w/b 4 April but at least we have seem to have some to be heading for his arrival looking more likely to be w/b 11 April. I am sure there will be preview pictures and interviews with Ted in the next couple of weeks

It may still be 4th April. I'm not really sure how the dates work, to be honest. I don't tend to read soap magazines but I gather they follow the same format of DS/Soap Squawk etc where the 'big' spoilers are for the following week after it's published (so the spoilers that went up on DS last night were for next week.) The spoilers posted in that spoiler thread are 'brief' spoilers a couple of weeks in advance. So if Soaplife/Inside Soap are talking about a Johnny preview being in next weeks issue, it may be that Johnny does actually arrive on w/c 4th April.

I am still wondering whether he returns on 1 April (at the end) which is the episode when all the Carter Family appear as part of Linda's plans to bring them together. If he is making a surprise return it is much more dramatic way when everyone is around and to see their reaction.

Very true. He isn't in the cast list for that episode but then he wouldn't be if it was a surprise return. I'll be half expecting him from that episode onwards unless we get official confirmation before it.
Johnny's return is pretty much confirmed for w/b 11 April. We should hopefully get previews and confirmation shortly. Cast lists out for w/b 4 April are out and Linda/Mick are not appearing so we can rule out that week
