Why is Channel 4 reporting higher ratings for Little Chef and Big Brother which they said got 4.09m and 2.64 respectively?

It's great to see Channel 4 & Five getting a look in for once. Maybe a merger wouldn't be a bad idea after all?

Well DigitalSpy is reporting the same ratings as above but it does say Little Chef got 301k on 4+1. It still doesn't quite add up.

Digital Spy reported the C4+1 rating incorrectly. It actually got 353,000 on C4+1. So adding the two figures up, Channel 4 Sales are correct .

The fact that Jeremy Kyle wins it's slot says something about TGBP.

These mistakes are becoming a bit of a habit on DS.

Thanks for clearing it up!

Damn, I never realised the BBC's regional news gets nearly double that of ITV's.
Those ratings are not typical, they will be skewed by the Obama coverage. The BBC Six and ITV Evening News are usually much closer than that

I'd like to know why ITV keep using Trinny and susanna for shows, they never get good ratings but yet for some reason they keep making awful shows with them telling people how to dress.

ITV should realise tuesday is usually a weak night for channels and should put a audience puller on tuesday after emmerdale to bring in the audience.

An absolute thrashing for BBC and ITV at 9pm last night - Big Chef is looking like a really good start for C4's food fight season and CSI is doing great business on both sides of the Atlantic at the moment.

One-off documentaries seem to be floundering on all channels at the moment - unless they really tap in to a particularly recent event or issue. Both BBC One and ITV could have done better last night with yet more New Tricks / Taggart repeats...

And yes, the Jeremy Kyle ratings really do make for depressing reading, don't they.

I'd like to know why ITV keep using Trinny and susanna for shows, they never get good ratings but yet for some reason they keep making awful shows with them telling people how to dress.
When ITV poached them from BBC, they (stupidly) signed them up on a very expensive deal which covered a certain number of series over a certain number of years. (Their 'What Not to Wear' show on BBC One was a pretty big hit at the time - seen as it was one of the first of these makeover shows that are all over the TV now). All T&S ITV shows are just seeing out that contract. I don't think they're going to be in any hurry to renew that deal...!

And last night I think the producers were having a laugh, as there were many ‘dog’ and ‘bitch’ puns. (T & S were making over a bunch of dog owners)

Awful for ITV1. Am I right in thinking these T&S episodes are leftovers from the past series just under a different name? I can't see any new episodes being made now.

Fantastic for Obama-7m peak at 5pm is excellent and much higher than I expected.

A rarety for CH4 and FIVE to take the top 2 spots at 9pm-something which probably happens only a couple of times a year I would say. Also for CBB to be beaten by the 8pm and 9pm shows is not very good at all.

Regarding daytime FIVE's seems to be a lot weaker than when I last saw it with The Wright Stuff not doing well and Neighbours surely isn't worth what FIVE paid for it?!

Where were all the viewers at 9pm last night, the top rating show in the hour got 3.7m. Did any non terrestrial channels benefit?
There was still almost 14m watching terrestrial, only around 1m less than usual-viewing was just more spread out.

Home and Away seems to rate better in Oz now than in the UK
No. Home & Away has around a total reach of 2.5m here in the UK.
