I don't think Countdown was getting 1m, I think those figures were peaks.
Countdown has averaged above 1m for 5 of its 10 shows so far.

That's one way of looking at it Real Crime seems to certainly work better in a 10pm/10.35pm slot.

Mondays & Fridays seem to be the strong points in ITV's schedule atm. It will be interesting to see how Pushing Daisies rates next week..
Real Crime does seem to work better later in the evening. New episodes could possibly top 3m in that slot with a T&R lead in.

I can't see PD doing much better than Real Crime tbh, although putting such a twee programme like PD on straight after the most miserable drama on TV seems strange (although I'd say it's the best they could have done, tbh, as they were hardly going to put it at 9pm).

Does that put it level with last year, then, as it averaged 1m last year according to MG?

Those ratings for Big Brother are like for a regular show and not a final. I'm surprised they were that low. Maybe it's time to stop the celebrity version and just keep the main one. And they only get ratings through controversy not through the quality of the show.

Does anybody know what Plus One got last night?

I didn't realise that NCIS was now getting CSI:NY style figures! Good for them!

I just realised that Life of Riley is the second most-watched comedy on the BBC iPlayer right now. Yes, people are actually demanding to watch this!

Since Obama banned waterboarding, its the most effective torture instrument the CIA has left in its arsenal.

Trace the IP addresses back to GITMO!

Must be a few masochists that sit through that drivel as well. What is really depressing is that there is a great comedy on Channel 4 called Plus One that I wish would rate higher.

Britain what is wrong with you!?!

Big Brother dented them a little?

I don't think so... because even EE, Corrie (Ep 1) and Emmerdale before BB were lower than usual.

Big Brother did dent the 2nd Corrie episode, as it was over a million down on Episode 1.

Ouch! 3.5m for the final?! BB's audience seems to keep going down and I doubt it will start recovering now.

Strong night for ITV1 it seems. T&R will probably remain stable now around the 5m mark. Corrie hit slightly by CBB though.

3.8m for QI? That's not too good either-everything seemed pretty low last night, even the return of Ross which could have got a lot more imo, but 4.7m is still a good figure for him.
Very poor for Big Brother. It looks like Channel 4 are now in trouble with their biggest show getting poor ratings and seemingly nothing waiting in the wings to take over

When you consider Channel 4's strong schedule earlier this decade, with Big Brother, popular comedy shows etc, they really have lost it

Oh dear!

On Thursday meanwhile it got 5.34m (25.1%) compared to 6.97m (32.7%) for Emmerdale.

The One Show struggles without an EastEnders lead-out.

And for anyone wondering what the alternative Scottish ITV1 schedule is today without The FA Cup:

6:00am GMTV
9:25am wknd@stv
12:05pm ITV News and Weather
12:10pm Scotland Today/North Today
12:15pm Dancing on Ice
1:35pm Dancing on Ice: The Skate Off
2:20pm FILM: Baby Boom
4:25pm Scotland Today/North Today
4:40pm ITV News and Weather
4:55pm FILM: Junior
7:15pm Harry Hill's TV Burp
