Celebrity Juice-355,000 (2.1%) +1 52,000
FM-244,000 (1.8%) +1 3,000

I think the 3,000 though could be a mistake and is likely to be 30,000. The source is Broadcast with many other ratings. I'm sure someone will provide a full update later-I just don't have the time ( and patience!) to do that. The full updates are much appreciated though by everyone who does them!

Don't you think situations like that are due to the adverts on ITV. The Bill ends at 8.55 so everyone turns over to the BBC and raises the last 15 minutes average of Waterloo Road?

I can't see any other reason why the last 15 mins of an hour show would be higher than the rest.

5 minute breakdowns would be able to confirm this one way or another

thats why it happens. It always gets commented on but its nothing more than some viewers surfing during the ad breaks

Oh boo you. I was looking forward to another fantasy schedule which would absolutely, 100% solve The Bill's ratings woes.

So you are telling me that the audience goes up to say 4.6m, for the next programme to average 4m? Don't think so.

Not really. Just many laws for ITV and none for anybody else.

What are you talking about?

I'm saying that people switch channels during the credits & ad breaks. Hardly startling news!

I agree, because you've got the ending of Waterloo Road with viewers still watching that and the 4millionish viewers tuning in for the start of Nature's Great Events too.

And viewers would much prefer sit through a couple of trailers than 4 minutes worth of ads on ITV.

Multi-channel TV looks to have been a bit down on normal last night with even Hollyoaks and Home and Away below 600k.

Sky are not exempted from anything.

Actually it is one law for public service broadcasters (ITV1/UTV/stv/Channel, C4/S4C, FIVE) and one law for everyone else (ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, E4, More4, Film4, FIVE USA, FIVER included).

And even non public service broadcasters, including Sky, face limits on the amount and placement of advertising.

Contracts Rights Renewal (point 1 of George's list) was condition of the merger of Carlton and Granada in order to protect the market and only applies to ITV plc.

Desperate Housewives did well! 1.8 last night, plus the first look and 2nd chance leaves it probs a around 2.6 ish, not bad... makes the top 5 US shows in the Uk i would of though :/ maybe...

CSI
CSI: NY
CSI: MIAMI
NCIS
Desperate Housewives

Are they the only shows that can get over 2.5m now?

I would of thought that the rest of the top 10 would be something like...

The Tudors
House
Medium
Heroes
Ugly Betty

Heroes gets around 2.5m including first looks which you have done with Desperate Housewives. Also I can't remember exact figures but Ugly Betty flopped one series on Channel 4.

It's shown on Showtime, but it's a Canadian/Irish co-production - CTV and Reville Eire.
