To be honest, there aren't many things "ratings wise" that stand out at the moment... but I'd expect posts to increase over the weekend as per normal.

I wonder if Moving Wallpaper will get back up above 2m, or whether it'll fail to increase after Comic Relief last week? I can't see ITV recommisioning it, though.

Any US ratings today? Curious to see how Obama went down on Jay Leno. That special Olympics gag was a bit of a faux pas wasn't it?

Some decent ratings around last night, but nothing spectacular. I'm beginning to wonder if 3.5m is the new 4.5m in the 9pm slot for BBC One and ITV1.”

I think he is a sort of Derren Brown pseudo psychic who isnt really but is simply gifted at using psychological skills, people reading and manipulation and instead of using this to do stage shows he helps out the police.

Yet another ex Home and Away/Neighbours star making it big in the States!

True. Especially if Sonny posts the ratings for us tomorrow.

Who? I might remember him if he's from Neighbours. Haven't seen Home and Away since about 1990.

Very good ratings for Paris Hilton, I think thats quite an increases for the final episode
Not so good for the JLC chat show, it should have been pushed back 2 weeks so it didn't have Skins as competition.

Very surprised by those ratings for Paris. Did quite well in the end. Wonder if they'll bring it back next year...

Someone mentioned Skins being down last night? It was actually up, it fell a bit last week.

Ratings up slightly this week despite the early finish. Expect a larger than usual increase when it comes to the official ratings as they account for start and finish times. Overnights just measure the slot.

Overnight ratings so far this series, including E4+1:
3.01 - 834,000
3.02 - 872,000
3.03 - 829,000
3.04 - 868,000
3.05 – 973,000
3.06 – 922,000
3.07 – 997,000
3.08 – 830,000
3.09 – 887,000
AVERAGE – 890,000

The first 4 weeks official ratings are also available now. Official ratings include people who Sky+ the show or record it. These figures do not include E4+1.

2.01 - 1,061,000
2.02 - 757,000
2.03 - 767,000
2.04 – 742,000
2.05 – 709,000
2.06 – 751,000
2.07 – 686,000

3.01 - 877,000 (-184,000)
3.02 - 916,000 (+159,000)
3.03 - 857,000 (+90,000)
3.04 – 915,000 (+173,000)
3.05 – 913,000 (+204,000)
3.06 – 957,000 (+206,000)
3.07 – 997,000 (+311,000)

There was an improvement of more than 300,000 compared to last year which is brilliant. Episode 7 also added 325,000 on E4+1 taking its total audience from one showing to 1,322,000. No doubt a few hundred thousand more watched repeats.

He had an 11.2 household rating (17m-ish, perhaps). It was the fourth highest rating in the 16 years that Leno has been hosting the show and the highest since 2005.

It improved on the series average by 187%.

Very impressive. Bodes well for the new 10pm show.

The CBS Lineup was lower than usual ratings wise but I've read they get more ad money since the NCAA plays from the afternoon onwards and also online so it CBS will be more than happy.

Bones pulled in a decent audience even though FOX doesn't treat it well. Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and Lost do attract a much younger audience which is good for ABC as it means more ad money.

Thanks for this. Nature's Great Events seems to have underperformed, unusual for a prime time BBC1 nature series.

Does anybody have the viewing figures for the Sunday evening repeats please?

For decades the gold standard has been the Attenborough "Life" series, which have been the peak of UK wildlife production for almost 30 years. Now that series has ended, although the great man may still be involved, there isnt the same kind of anticipation. Especially when the subjects, however stunning the photography may be, have been shown many times before.

The Sunday evening repeat gets rouhly the same ratings as the Wednesday screening, so that means the programme is getting about 8 million viewers in total.

Thanks by the way C14E.

Any idea how Letterman is fairing these days? I must admit I fancy his chances of increasing numbers once Conan takes over The Tonight Show.

John Stewart does pretty well considering he's on at 11pm, I do wonder how Conan will fare in the Tonight Show as Leno is a hard act to follow.

Thanks again. Very good for Letterman really and I think he will go up a bit when Conan takes over and The Tonight Show will drop a bit IMO, perhaps ending up around 4.5m each? I think it'll be close anyway.

Dreadful for Jimmy Kimmel by the way. Not sure why ABC bother.

Well Leno & Letterman also lose a lot of viewers across the hour.

Thanks iaindb. 8 million across the 2 broadcasts isn't too shabby at all.

I still think BBC One are not doing their natural history shows an favours in their scheduling. I personally feel that they belong on a Sunday night, as it's something the whole family can sit down and watch. Also, they're not really 'appointment' to views, and so need a good led in. Nature's Great Events got a 4m lead in from Waterloo Road on a Wednesday when it could have had a 6m lead in from Lark Rise... on Sundays.

lowish ratings for TV last night.

EastEnders down 0.2m from thursday night but thats understandable as it was a friday night and more people are out. Coronation Street was low at 8:30 with just over 8million they better watch out with EastEnders hotting up though they haven't got much good stuff coming up at all.

Thank you for posting the ratings, Sonny2001.

Is it my imagination, or are the soaps quite a way down on the same period last year?

Decent start for Genius. Much better than the 1m attracted by BBC2's other new 10pm comedy this week, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle.

Wonder how many viewers came across from the radio version.
