Ooh thanks for them I forgot the figures for it last time round, but thought it achieved around the 5 million mark for its last series. Let's hope for similar figures for this series

I think you'll find this game is for Setanta who have a FA Cup Replay programme scheduled for that night.
ITV1 would have probably decided not to go with a replay this round giving that a) their Wednesday game would clash with Champions League on Sky and b) they have their own CL games on Tuesday so that's their football covered for the week.

Also, Moving Wallpaper got rave reviews, was recommissioned and flopped in the ratings for exactly the same reason - it was full of in-jokes. TV bosses and TV critics would recognise the characters and situations but viewers would just feel alienated.

Don't forget that the Farmer Wants a Wife did actually originate in the UK!

Actually looking at the Wikipedia article it's surprising to see just how many international version of this show there have been (I can't even remember the original, I'm guessing it wasn't a success). It was the number 1 rated show in Belgium, Norway and the Netherlands!

I don't think The FA Cup website lies: http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/Fixtures/

3 R 25 Feb 2009 20:10 Middlesbrough v West Ham United

Click on the + next to it: Live on ITV1. Most of the discussion about it is here: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=990881

Of course what this means is that ITV have live footie two nights in a row with Champions League as well the night before.

Setanta had FA Cup replays scheduled for the Wednesday in both the third and fourth round but that didn't happen in either case. It's on ITV.

It seems like Channel 4's "experiment" for Boys and Girls isn't bringing in viewers despite poor opposition. And is it me, or for both Monday and Tuesday, does the Multichannel share look higher than on a typical weekday?

A few weeks ago, it was normally around the ~35% range....

Good rating for CSI there. Mistresses did well as well, pitty it never broke the 5m barrier though. Line of Fire did solidly OK considering what the past few Tuesdays on ITV have brought.

I expect Mistresses and CSI to drop about 0.3m next Tuesday with the Champions League returning to ITV, which should make them win the slot.

Awww poor ickle ITV beaten in to third place.

Excellent as usual for CSI.

CSI has been doing the business for Five and it's come second in its timeslot for the sixth week in a row, not sure if that happens often. Grissom's departure in a few weeks will certainly draw viewers but whether it can hit 4m remains to be seen.

Mistresses did well too and it has a core audience which so the ratings will remain constant throughout the next few weeks.

CSI doing great as usual, Five must be so glad they have the CSI shows. I'm surprised they haven't gone for a CSI set in the UK yet because i'm sure it could easily get 4-5 million but I suppose it would have to have CBS' backing.

I imagine Five will be monitoring L&O:UK closely to see how that performs. CSI is obviously a bigger brand but it should give some indication of the level of viewer appetite for a UK adaptation of an established US police procedural.

Isn't it just. According to that then, more people were watching the BBC regional news in London on "Snow Day" than were watching the national ITV News bulletin at the same time.

Incredible, and a very impressive rating indeed for a local programme.

Why have the sites only updated with 9pm ratings? I'd like to know some more.

While we are waiting:

FA Cup Quarter Finals:
ITV1
Blackburn/Coventry v Chelsea, Saturday 7th March, 12.30pm
Swansea/Fulham v Man Utd, Saturday 7th March, 5.15pm

Setanta
Arsenal/Burnley v Sheffiled Utd/Hull, tbc
Everton v West Ham/Middlesbrough, Sunday 8th March, 4pm

I can only speculate the 7th March schedule as being then:

16:45 - The FA Cup Live
19:10 - The Colour of Money
20:10 - Harry Hill's TV Burp
20:40 - Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
22:00 - ITV News
22:15 - The FA Cup Highlights

The only problem with that is that A&D is on quite late.

I think The Colour of Money will have to shift to 9pm. I think it'll go:

16.45 The FA Cup Live
19.15 Harry Hill's TV Burp
19.45 Saturday Night Takeaway
21.00 The Colour of Money
22.00 ITV News
22.15 The FA Cup Highlights

Colour of Money is the only one of ITV's three entertainment shows that could air at 9pm, really.

Couldn't ITV just keep the same order, but shift everything else back a little bit. Something like this:

16:45 - The FA Cup Live
19:15 - Harry Hill's TV Burp
19:45 - Colour of Money
20:45 - Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
22:00 - ITV News

8.45pm is too late for Takeaway imo. 7.45pm is pushing it for what is a glorified Saturday morning show tbh. Takeaway's ratings slip when it airs after 8pm, as proven when it has aired after 8pm twice:

Saturday 8th September 2007: 6.3m
Saturday 16th February 2008: 6.1m

A decent bit down on its usual audience.

Meanwhile, Media Guardian has some more ratings.
