Probably a silly question, but hopefully someone can help.

I ordered a new pay monthly iPhone online yesterday on the O2 network. At the time I gave all my bank details and it said it would do a credit check etc.

I got an email to say that the order had been accepted and dispatched to the Carphone Warehouse store I'd specified.

Does this mean that the contract has been accepted or just the order for the handset? If I go into the store, will they have to do a credit check before they can accept me for the contract?

You should be able to just walk in when it's delivered, sign the contract, and leave. No new credit checks.

If you had to give card details over the phone then I'd say the check has already been done. They bill your card for the credit check and debit your account for the monthly charge using direct debit.

It was an online order, not over the phone
