Difficulty of tasks

The candidates on the apprentice have often been ridiculed as clueless idiots but is this argument valid due to the difficulty of the tasks and even intelligent and capable people will have difficulty with the tasks. For instance, in a TV advertising task the candidates must think come up with an idea for the advert, film the advert and sell the advert to executives. This is done in just two days when a normal advertising campaign would be done over a much longer period of time. A candidate on you're fired said she thought what a bunch of idiots when she watched the programme but the tasks are difficult when you actually do them. Do you think the tasks are difficult?

Yes, I do think they're very difficult. When I'm contributing to the discussions on here, I always try to judge everyone completely fairly. Sometimes people are simply idiots, but a lot of the time they are simply doing the best they can whilst working under exceptional levels of stress, producing something that in the real world would take weeks to produce.

Having said that, some people still do very well on the programme. I think that if someone like Helen Milligan or Ruth Badger can excel that much on the tasks, there isn't really any excuse for the others not to do the same.
