Home Farm
2014 definitely has some huge stories, certainly rocketing through the first part of the year. We’re going to kick off with some great stuff at Home Farm, Declan and Charity right at the centre of everything. We’ve seen over Christmas that Declan, along with his empire, lost his mind and almost his life. Charity saved him at the last minute but obviously
there’s always got to be something in it for her, so she has this plan and they have set up Sam and Rachel. Basically they will become the Macbeth’s which I think is super cool and very dark.

Bartons
One of the most exciting things for me in 2013 was bringing in a whole new cast of Barton boys, which was great. There are a few secrets in that family. There’s a big reason James fell out with John but we haven’t revealed that on screen, we know what that is and we’re just biding our time, but
hopefully it will be a big, rewarding secret for the audience to see.

Dingles
One of the things I love about the Dingles is that they always triumph in the face of adversity, they stick together. But we’ve got a story that will really test them as a family this year. Belle, who has always been the bright spark, something really life changing is going to happen to her quite early in the year and she will need the support of her family, but maybe they don’t support her in the way that she needs.

Marlon and Laurel
We saw them get engaged but 2014 does see a real
challenge for them. There’s going to be a blast from the past coming their way. It’s really going to shake things up for that character group, Paddy and Rhona with them.

Debbie and Chas
It’s hard to top 2013 for them. They’ve come out of this huge storyline and they have both been quite bruised by Cameron and what he did. So when new people come into their lives, it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

Val and Eric Pollard
The story I’m really looking forward to in 2014 involves the Pollards, it’s a completely different story to the one we saw with them when they were living with Amy. What’s great about this new direction for them is that it will give us a whole new slant on the Pollards, it challenges them in a way
we’ve never seen before and I think it’s a really exciting story for a soap like us to tell. So that will be a challenge but one I am really looking forward to in 2014.

Bernice
Bernice had a terrible year in 2013, she’s now moved in with Jimmy and Nicola, she’s so outstayed her welcome. We’ve got some good comedy stories coming up for them when Jimmy and Nicola try to match make for her. It’s not going to go well.

Sharmas
We are going to learn that Priya had some issues when she was younger and they are going to come up again and be present in her life. She needs her family to help her through that. And yeah, maybe there will be a new love interest for Jai, he’s blown it with Charity and things are pretty bitter between those two now, so he’s going to have someone new coming into his life. We’ll just see how his marriage to Charity has changed him.

Thanks for these

Like the sound of Charity and Declan.
I wonder what happens to Belle, I hope it has nothing to do with teen pregnancy, that's been done loads of times before.
I wonder what happened between James and Ross, maybe he used to beat him.
Not looking forward to Maurel stuff or Jai's new romance.

Maybe Donna Windsor will be back making a few problems with Maurel. Verity Rushworth is finishing her role of Velma in Chicago at Curve Theatre, Leicester in January.

It's a personal (ridiculous ) reason in which I fully blame *spits* Donna *spits* for my lovely Jasmine going to prison If that nosey, little goody two shoe'd bint had of kept her flaming nose out, then Ross would have gone down for Shane's murder and my Jasmine would have been safe

Sounds great!

Declan and Charity - I'm liking the MacBeth and Lady MacBeth comparison.

Marlon and Laurel will possibly break up this year.

Oh I get it now. Who is Ross? Not the current Ross Barton? I used to watch it on and off so did miss a lot.

Well if it is hopefully it dosnt include her wooden brother.

None of those really do anything for me. The Belle one isnt surprising. I guess this life changing thing is gonna start her rise as ED's top young star left by Amy.

I hope the Pollard stuff is good. I dont want them to be background bores who do forced comedy all the time.

The Barton's really need a lot of work so a lot is riding on their storyline.

Jai's love interest really should be himself and Maurel's stuff is so *yawn*

Hopefully it turns out better onscreen as it does here.

No. I forget his last name. He was a copper with Donna and Shane. She had an affair with him (behind Marlon'a back) Ross was accused of Shane's murder and charged with it but Donna went all private detective and found evidence linking it to Eli Dingle which in turn lead to my poor Jasmine going down

So yes basically if *spits* Donna *spits* had of kept her big nose out Dross (Ross) would of gone down for Shane's murder and Jasmine would have been safe

I've just checked who he is. I only watched ED on and off for years. Only started watching it avidly since the Kings.

Laurel should be single or be back with Ashley as the Vicar's wife. Jai, not too sure what the purpose of the character is. Nikhil was much better IMO. Maybe he will be back.

Aaargh Charity really has Declan caught in her web now. I'll be interested to see if any of them are able to redeem themselves after this.

It's been mentioned that there was some kind of abuse between James and Ross in the past and that was one of the reasons why he left. From what we've seen so far, James does appear to have a short fuse so it seems plausible.

No you're not. I couldn't care less about the James/Moira/Cain love triangle. We all know what will happen in the end. *sleep* Pete and especially Finn just already in their short time seem pointless and are just there to prep up Ross who's own character is straying a bit.

I like them but Butlers seems very overcrowded with them all there. I think they need to be moved into their own place so that they are allowed to develop as a family, away from Moira, Cain and Adam.

I like Ross and Finn, so far I am not loving James - he comes across as a bit creepy to me and Pete seems a bit of a drip

Aww, give them a chance, JR. They've only just arrived. It's perfectly normal, (and desirable), that they don't get some massive sl in week One. They have to have a chance to 'bed in' before any drama starts. If we don't know them, we don't care about them, so it takes time for us to invest in them before we see anything dramatic with them.
