Edinburgh city centre, EE couldn't call or send texts, 4G speeds down a little before suffering registration failures, 3G speeds crippled to the point of unusability.
No surprises there then I had no problems with vodafone at same location call went through straight away.

EE in London, couldn't get an sms to send. It kept failing, but some of them did actually get through, which is annoying. I was in East London at the time too, so not by any of the central crowds.

would i be right in thinking that whilst everyone else was trying to send messages you were repeatedly running speed tests?
I didn't run any speedtests after midnight until after my messages started failing to send. After that point, yes, I do what I normally do when things don't work properly - run every test I can think of.

Everything for me on 3 was instant near Liverpool
Ditto, I was sat enough to run a speedtest and send a text to 20 people. Got 12Mbps on Three!

On NYE I was at home with 2 friends. They were on vodafone and had text delays and failures (not too serious). Meanwhile I was knocking 10s of texts out instantly on three UK, and receiving some too.
