but with less whisker, squarer face and a smooth coat. very deep red, probably a bit bigger.

i saw a beautiful, beautiful dog like this at the rec, i should have asked, i was chatting to his owner.

Sounds like a cross to me, possibly with deerhound in it?

However, none of these are deep red, nor are they smooth coated, so either it may have been an Irish that had been clipped very short, or possibly a cross. The Hungarian wirehaired Vizsla looks quite similar to what you describe as well.

he`s a short, smooth coat, from a distance i thought he was a ridgeback puppy his face was a weeny bit wolfhound [in retrospect] too. i`ll have to hang about the rec early mornings and see can i catch his owner and ask
