I WISH I could have been able to meet my paternal grandmother before she developed vascular dementia. It must have been very hard on her, knowing that her only son had 2 daughters that she wasn't able to see. It was hard on us too. I don't think I met my maternal grandfather either, ever, or my father's dad..
