Moto G - Tesco Stock
Anyone here have any insider knowledge on when Tesco might be getting stock of the Moto G? Seems to be a very popular handset due to its price - and Tesco seems to be beating everyone on price!

As I mentioned in one of the other Moto G threads, I'd recommend signing up for Tesco's stock alerts, but be quick to act when you get one. That's how I got my 16GB Moto G, but within an hour they were out of stock again and my colleague wasn't so lucky.

Does it come pre loaded with a load of tesco rubbish?
Also could it be used with a O2 sim? |

I'm hoping to get a 16GB Tesco Mobile version. I've been told it only costs a couple of quid to get them unlocked.
Got a stock alert on all four versions (8/16GB, Tesco Mobile / Unlocked). Wanting to get one for my girlfriend who is sick of her slow iPhone 4 but doesn't have the money to buy a Nexus 5 outright. |

Register for a stock alert as Tesco seem to be quite fast getting these restocked, that's what I did anyway. Two mornings I was on the site within 15 mins of receiving the alert and the 8GB had already gone but the third morning I was successful.
The Moto G is an absolutely fantastic phone and for the price Tesco are selling it, it's a bargain. You won't regret snapping one up. I got mine unlocked for a couple of quid off a seller on ebay, I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link? But he emailed the code within 30 mins and I was up and running. EDIT: I can confirm there is no Tesco branding at all on the phone, only the box it came in. And it needs unlocking before using with O2. |

You can only get one of these if you bought your handset directly with o2 by the look of it.

Good news...
And which batch of IMEIs do not work? I only know of one Tesco ROM. edit - well they sound legit. Are they a main distributor or something? I thought it was the link to get an unlock. The 2 lots of IMEIs sounds weird. Maybe they are just slow getting onto the main system. |

Decided to pop into a local Tesco on my way home from work and picked up a 16GB Tesco Mobile model. Happy with it so far - also bought the £2 unlock code on eBay and put proper stock firmware on it (the default one has Tesco in the name in the About screen).
Looks like theres the KitKat rom being pushed out now too. I hope to get this soon before playing with the phone too much. |

I don't know if having the Tesco build ID means waiting longer for updates though, so I followed a guide to flash the retail ROM. |

Well I got an 8GB from Tesco and unlocked without any issue (use SMGreen unlocker from ebay) - I had read that you can't change the voicemail setting on Tesco Moto G's but I certainly can.
Mine had a Tesco PAYG sim inserted when unboxed it. I took the sim out and powered up and logged onto my work's wifi, logged into my Gmail account then powered off. I got home and it logged straight onto my home wifi, didn't need the wpa password and started migrating my old android phone apps over to the moto G. All very curious as I hadn't accepted the Moto Migrate option. |
