These distance selling regs also apply to Click and Collect

Though the item may have to be unopened and in saleable condition. Do check.

If it's to be unopened then distance selling regulations are not coming into effect.

Just had a look to clarify this and if you pay online and collect from store the DSR does come into effect.

If you reserve online and pay in-store then DSR does not apply as you are expected to check the item before paying.

I am surprised that firms have not changed their Click & Collect terms to make payment accepted and processed on collection to bypass this.

A relative bought a 10" Android tablet - £150, it's already been sent back lol. I think some of these low end Android tablets are going to tarnish the reputation of Android

Im happy with my Asus MeMo Pad HD7 though - only disappointment is that it doesn't look like it will ever get a Major software upgrade to 4.4

A few years ago I thought tablets were a waste of money. I've since changed my mind since buying the 10.1 galaxy note. I do have a pc but with the tablet I can sit on the sofa and browse the web while watching tv which I couldn't really do with the pc.

Yet using a laptop there is less chance of breaking it.

I've got a Hudl, Superpad 8 and Microsoft Surface Pro and they are just useful little tools to have to hand; ideal for email/facebook or watching a film or bit of catchup TV. I do prefer the larger screen of my laptop or PC for more extended use though. The attraction of tablets is pretty obvious when you think about it.

So those without tablets are brainless idiots?

I had a 7" tablet for a few hours before my wife nicked it. I was planning to share it with her primarily to turn our TV into a smart TV.

I have a 5.5" phone and don't need another good to go instrument. For serious work on travels I have a netbook. I also have a notebook in the living room on hibernate and a desktop PC in my home office.

I don't think I'll bother getting a tablet and am quite happy with my 5.5" phone which just fits into my jacket pocket. I don't want to carry a handbag to carry the tablet. I certainly won't get a tablet unless I find one with a changeable battery otherwise there is a built-in decay.

Did I say 'brainless idiots'? No. I think you got your posts messed up a tad.

OK "pretty obvious" > "slow on the uptake" to those that don't get it?

Nope, never said or implied that either. The advantages are obvious, tablets are small, mobile, battery powered, lets you sit in a chair or cafe and access the net et al... as I did say, they are a handy little tool to have.

Hope this clarifies things for you.
