I'm curious as to the whereabouts of Girls Aloud who appear to have gone missing?

They made their comeback single last year, which i thought was really good.....then seem to have totally vanished!

What happened after the comeback single?

They went on tour and then confirmed their split, about 9 months ago.

Really?
That must rate as the shortest 'comeback' ever then!
How many tour dates did they manage.....a couple?

Obviously their hearts aren't in it as much as the PR like to pump out.

Cheryl Cole is undoubtfully the reason Girls Aloud are no more Kimberley would have completely backed them continuing had Cheryl wanted them too but no Kim and Nicola being so close to her forced them to take her side so it was three against two.

It is a shame as the new tracks on Ten had potential so another album of new songs could have been their best yet.

The annoyance of the breakup was how they kept saying "this isn't the end" and then they announce a break up. Nadine Coyle has publicly said she didn't want to split.

It was always supposed to be the ending really. Cheryl said in her autobiography it would be the end.

They managed 20 arena's in the end with 3 of them being the O2.

They all spoke about the end of the group in "the passions of girls aloud" a few years ago. It was always going to end at some point. I wasn't that shocked.

I think they only bothered making a comeback to shut the fans up and make some quick money with another Greatest Hits.

Either that or they noticed the failure of Something New (went to #2 but had a disastrous chart run for a comeback single and Children In Need!) and Beautiful 'Cos You Love Me (only went to #97) and smartly decided to quit before they tarnished their legacy.

Beautiful Cos You Loved Me only got to that position as they were too lazy to promote it.
