Ready for a new Samsung Galaxy but which one?
I have a SIM free Samsung Galaxy S3 mini but am now finding it a bit slow and would like a larger screen. I am torn between the S4 mini, the S3 and the S4. Is it worth paying extra for the S4 as the S3 is at a reasonable price now?
I have considered the Nexus 5 and that is still a possibility. |

Get an S4 or a Note 3 if you can handle the size. The Note 3 is the most powerful mobile phone on the market, with the S4 slightly behind.
New phones are due in May 2014, the S5 will have 64 bit technology and 4GB of RAM to make it useful (unlike the iPhone 5S with 1GB of RAM), and there will other new innovations but when it arrives it will be the premium product and have a price tag to match (£550+). S4 at under £400 is a good deal (Amazon) and S4 Mini looks good at less than £300 now. |

Don't know how much memory you need, but the LG G2 might be worth considering?
If you need the extra memory then it may be worth waiting for the Galaxy S5 to see what that has to offer and if nothing else the price of the S4 will come down further. Depends on what you do with the phone, but I would only consider the S3 for normal use and nothing too taxing like the latest games etc as it's nearly a couple of years old now (I have one and even though it's still a great phone now not sure what it will be like in over a years time). |

I've never seen a single mobile app that even uses more than 10% of the memory of my phone, can't think of any reason why you'd need 4GB.
For best bang for the buck these days I'd recommend the S3. The S4 mini is really a very crippled low-end cheapo phone, as was the S3 mini, whereas the S3 is now old enough to be just as cheap yet far more powerful than either. |
