iphne 3g on o2 cheapest top up
I have a second hand iphone 3g which I bought from a car boot.
I am not a skinflint, I bought the phone for my daughter to use and cannot afford very much. When I turn the phone on everything seems fine with the front screen appearing as I would expect it to do. There is no credit on the phone and I was hoping it was unlocked as I have a T-Mobile sim with some credit on it but it is locked to o2. I have enquired on my local market if its possible to unlock it and was told no. I don't want to spend £10 on a payg voucher in case the phone doesn't work. Everywhere I look it looks as if £10 is the cheapest but that would be a lot to me to waste. If the phone works I will happily buy a £10 voucher, it would be worth it for some piece of mind when she goes out...thanks |

Just wondering if there is somebody that you know that has an O2 SIM to try that or even talk nicely to somebody in the O2 shop when they are not busy?
Not sure if anybody else knows, but would GiffGaff work on a phone locked to O2 as it uses the same network? |

giffgaff SIMs will work in O2 phones without being unlocked but require top-up to be used, minimum £10.
