My cat has been sneezing loads . No eye gunk or nose dribbles, still eating. Behaviour normal. But she sounds like she's swallowed a squeaky toy...sneeze sneeze sneeze...do you think I should be worried?

Is she vaccinated? Indoor or outdoor cat? Personally I'd get it checked out,.

Definatley to the bets then, cat flu is rife at this time of year.

I'm really sorry, but why would you not have an outdoor cat vaccinated? I could understand if she never went out, but if they did, it's just not worth the risk.

As above but in addition is it definite sneezing as otherwise could be a hairball

Neither of my cats are vaccinated. I've heard too many horror stories about it making them ill/causing problems etc. it's a personal choice, don't judge it. My other cat is 8/9 he's never had a problem. Anyway, to the vets with little miss sneezy...although it seems to have stopped for now.

Hairball usually sounds more 'hacky' but she def sounds like she's swallowed a squeaky toy!

And cat flu won't make them ill?

My beloved cat, who lived to be 20, occasionally had sneezing fits that lasted for several days and they all seemed to be caused by something stuck up his nose like a piece of grass. So could be something relatively simple like that, but definitely think you're wise in planning to take your puss to the vets as they haven't been vaccinated. Hope she gets better soon whatever the problem.

Thanks dude. She sneezed maybe 4/5 times on the Thursday, but yesterday it lasted about an hour and a half, full on sneezing fit. Reading up tells me all sorts of horrors, but then it stopped, all night she's been on my pillow, nothing. So it could have been an allergy? Still better safe than sorry

My cat has been sneezing for over 6 weeks now. I took him to the vets about 5 weeks ago who said he was fine but gave him 2 injections (just in case he was developing flu). He is still sneezing but is fine otherwise.
I think its because he is virtually attached to the radiator when the heating is on and he's drying out his nasal passages and sinuses.
He's still eating about 6 sachets of food a day!
