On come ON. YOu think she is more attractive than Jasmine, who was cheered?

I wondered whether she had had a second face lift. Her face seems almost completely immobile.

True, but that was through her writing (eg saying they were all horrible looking people with no teeth). I don't think she says much face to face at all.

Very unlucky btw for Dappy to be tied to her in an eviction vote if she does turn out to be awful. You could see how fed up he was when it was announced that it wasn't just a one on one (where he obviously felt confident).

I had no idea who she is but I think she'll be a shrinking violet. She intimated as much in her VT. She's going to immerse herself in cleaning and tidying. Great viewing I'm sure.

She'll be a letdown. She's ok behind her keyboard but she'll be another Samantha brick, incessantly cleaning and tidying with not much else to offer.

She seemed completely overwhelmed and vulnerable. I felt a bit sorry for her to be honest

She is paid £350,000 a year by the Mail, so I don't think we need worry too much about the money.

She has written endlessly over the years about her awful financial suffering, even when she owned a large country estate and a posh flat in London; so much so, that at one point (possibly in a rare moment of shame) she hinted that pensioners should perhaps stop sending her money because they were so worried about her.

Trolling people and rubbing people up the wrong way seems to have become her reason for being.

I think she is genuinly crazy, and doesn't know where the line between her Daily Mail diary and real life starts and ends.”

And the Samantha Brick article wasn't even what she,d written. It was rewritten on the newspaper to get a reaction and Brick just ran with it because of the money.
Liz is the real deal, a true eccentric.

Jones is a nasty bit of work. Her farticles are usually very anti-women - she seems to loathe mothers, children, old people, is actually jealous of the mobility disabled as they get to use a blue card for parking and her deafness isn't recognised, poor people - actually the list is endless. She writes thoroughly horrible twisted stuff about her family. I could write more, but she's not going to live up to expectations in there. She's only brave behind a keyboard, and a bully in her columns where people can't answer her back.

I doubt it - it remains to be seen, though - I am looking forward to finding out.

Never heard of her before but she seems an oddball that is out of her depth - tough when hiding behind a column but nothing face to face. First out I reckon which would be a shame as she would take young Dopey with her who I like

I think she's a bit overwhelmed and intimidated for now, but she's so much more than another Samantha Brick. I'm no fan of hers but Brick was a cheap Liz Jones imitation.

It's only what she would be doing if she were writing an article about the launch rather than taking part. Take a look at some of her articles, she's obsessed.

I actually felt sorry for her last night. She seemed really uncomfortable.

That makes her poor value, imo. I don't want to watch her or hear anything from her.

She looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Maybe there's a reason why she writes.

I expect to see an article in the DM after she's out claiming the rest of the HMs had it in for her, bullied her, were below her social level and had terrible fashion sense. She was the only one who bothered wearing Prada whereas the others all wore Primark

They obviously booed her because they are Rihanna chav fans (all praise queen immoral nasal voice).

I have to say, she may not be a role model or whatever but her unpopular opinion is very refreshing and I'd prefer to see more of her on that basis alone. Of course this won't happen and someone the chavs deem cool will probably win the show like Dappy.

What age is she? She's a hard one to pin down

Mid-fifties I think.

Is that the usual excuse for her nastiness?

I thought about mid forties then sometimes when I looked at her I thought older, then back to young again

I though Jasmine had a mixed and not very positive reception initially but then won a lot of people over during her chat with Emma and when meeting Sam

She looks very strange. At a first glance, she did seem quite attractive, but not once the camera settled on her quite close.

Which are the two you're stereotyping in so unpleasant a fashion?

Anyway, if Liz is intelligent, that would just make it easier for her to have a toxic effect on the show.

I've read "Liz Jones diary" in the mail on Sunday magazine. Silly woman who seems out of touch with reality and has a talent for picking unsuitable men. Don't think she will last long.

I am delighted that Liz is in the house, she is so outrageously awful in her writing I want to see what she is like in 'real life'

however I thought the same about Gillian Taylforth (not the outrageous awfulness - the getting to know her) and she barely got a look in

if only there was live feed, then they could keep the drunken antics and the showmances for the main show if they want and let those of us who are interested in the human nature aspect of the show sit up until the wee hours and observe

I think the same. She will probably not say or do much of interest other than endlessly quizzing the others. It will all be saved up for her article in the Daily Mail once she gets out.

I don't think her eyes can manage any expression other than startled, so stuffed with botox is her face. (She has said herself that she over-uses it.)

Every so often there is a CBB housemate I just can't like because of what I already know about them: she and Jim Davidson are in that category. Jim worse, because I detest bigots, but I will never really forget Liz Jones's hundreds of desperate pleas of poverty, and genuinely poor people sending her their savings because they felt so sorry for her, when she is clearly extremely well off.

It would have been amusing if they had got Jim Kerr in the house and handcuffed them together. (For those not familiar with her writings, she pretended for years to be in a relationship with him, to his obvious horror and stout denial.)
