Every so often there is a CBB housemate I just can't like because of what I already know about them: she and Jim Davidson are in that category. Jim worse, because I detest bigots, but I will never really forget Liz Jones's hundreds of desperate pleas of poverty, and genuinely poor people sending her their savings because they felt so sorry for her, when she is clearly extremely well off.

It would have been amusing if they had got Jim Kerr in the house and handcuffed them together. (For those not familiar with her writings, she pretended for years to be in a relationship with him, to his obvious horror and stout denial.)”

I'm praying for someone to ask her who the "Rock Star" is but I suspect none of the others know much more about her other than she writes for the DM! Perhaps Emma will oblige when she gets evicted.

She writes frequently about "barking" and "wailing" at lowly shop assistants who don't leap to serve her the second she walks into a shop, she apparently had a massive row with a man who objected that she had put her Michael Kors tote on his reserved train seat but I think most of these events only happen in her head.

I agree with others. She does seem to be a bit overwhelmed by it all.

And that's pretty surprising given how nasty and awful her articles in the Mail are. I vaguely remember she was asked to do an article covering the Joanna Yeates murder case, in which she (bizarrely) re-traced Joanna's last steps and filled it with the most insensitive and banal 'insights' I've ever read. She deservedly got a lot of flack for that.

I'm not sure if we're going to see her kick off and end up calling everyone else in there 'peasants' like some people are expecting her to. Indeed, it's hard to imagine that she is actually as confrontational in real life as she makes herself out to be in her articles. She comes across as quite shy and reserved.

Don't think she made that one up, actually, I think he was just horrified about her writing about him.

Totally made up, she wrote about her mysterious 'rock star' for three years, all the places they went together and there has never been one sighting of them or photograph together which in this day and age is impossible. She even claimed he wanted her to name him but she wanted the relationship to be private. Compare and contrast to her latest relationship, she named him immediately, writes about hardly anything else in excruciating detail and we were even treated to the cheesy Xmas photos in the Mail. Private indeed. Jim Kerr has been open about his past famous relationships, he wouldn't touch her with Dappy's.

I'm not sure if she's always been bonkers but her marriage may have something to do with it - or at least not have helped. Her ex-husband wrote a novel that was autobiographical and if he's only a fraction as loathsome as the main character then it's enough to f*ck up anyone who has a relationship with him.

I see that the Liz Jones in Somalia twitter account has been reinstated for the time being: https://twitter.com/LizJonesSomalia

It was good last time (and raised £25,000 for Somali people).

I don't know much about her to be honest, although I've been looking around briefly. The only things I saw on twitter about her last night were that she'd previously turned down a £150k offer to go onto CBB and that she hates and despises the show with a passion and swore she'd never be seen on it

She does look fairly overwhelmed by it all, it will be interesting to see whether she lives up to the reputation she has or whether she's a mouse when faced with having people around who might question or disagree with her opinions.

Maybe we'll be in for some surprise revelations engineered by BB. Some may have egg on their faces by the end of all this...

Maybe, if she also lied to friends etc, though I don't see why she would. Perhaps she'll talk about it in the house.

I entirely agree with the above quote, she'll be timid in the house and will be out in the early stages if not teamed with someone who is more popular and well known. She'll write a bitter and twisted article about her experiences when she's back behind her Daily Heil desk
