The inevitable launch night twist
SegaGamer

Did you like it or hate it ?

I'm ok with it actually, it was a bit different from the usual rubbish. Pairs up for eviction, it makes things more interesting because fans may have to side with someone they dislike.

Wasn't keen. It was all a bit awkward and the pairs up for eviction is silly.

At this point in time it looks like a mistake doesn't it. And not even accidental. Stupid.

Good twist - the pairs make for an unpredictable eviction and although two housemates are up on the first night it doesn't feel like a massive intervention because anyone could still go

The mother of all stupid twists.

So they're going to be handcuffed together until Monday night?
What a nightmare!

And we'll be losing 2 housemates only 3 days in....

Take a look at the pairings. Is there one pair where both are expendable?

No, 2 more will join them on Monday, the actual eviction will take place a different day. I think anyway, i'm not too sure

I don't care who goes right now, it is what it is.

Yeah, so one of 3 pairs will be evicted first on Monday night.... i.e. we'll be losing 2 housemates after only 3 days....?

Or the eviction lines open on Monday, and the actual eviction is on Wed/Fri?
I guess that wouldn't be too bad... depending on who's up and who goes.

Though maybe there's another twist which results in only one of the pair actually being evicted... in which case it can be someone expendable like Liz or one of the other 2 or 3 that no-one's ever heard of.

Well i didn't know there was an eviction on Monday, so if that is the case then i agree that that is too soon. We won't even have time to know much about them.

The people that are up are going to need to get as much air time as possible.

I have just looked at the tv listings and the first eviction is on Wednesday, so we won't be losing anyone on Monday. The only thing that is happening Monday is that someone is going up for eviction with the 2 that are all ready up.

So i am back to thinking this twist is ok

I would like the next twist to be, that there is NO twist !

Absolutely not! Random American is already doing her best drunken Courtney Stodden impression while being hotter and biting people. And she has a good rapport with Sam who hasn't shown much personality yet but has probably the most Twitter followers there and is recognizable so she is a shoe-in for the final.

Jim and Coleen can go.

too add, I've never heard someone change their tune as much as the Nolan Sister, regarding her hatred for Jim.
She went from pure hate, to "Oh, he's alright, he's nice really, so long as he doesn't have any alcohol"

Yes, we all know the truth of how she feels, but she might as well have honestly embraced the situation and said 'Yes, we don't see eye to eye, but lets take this opportunity to see if we can build some bridges'.

They've probably already signed up another Nolan for the next series

Because this was supposed to be a launch night but it was more like we had come in halfway through a task. I didn't care about the housemates because I haven't been given time to form a solid opinion and pick favourites. The handcuff situation prevents the housemates from behaving normally so we are being given a completely false impression of what they are like. And the eviction will depend on those false impressions coupled with the particular pairings which were chosen by BB themselves.

I've already forgotten about this twist, didn't think it was very memorable

You wouldn't even know it was going on reading the scraps of their official (and some may say biased) Twitter feed

Aside from this thread and maybe 2 others I've seen out there, not much of a ripple

I'm hoping there will be another twist where the housemates can save one person from the pair thats evicted an they have to vote live.

I hate it. Get the handcuffs off them and let them mingle properly instead of making them all feel uncomfortable and self conscious.

I wish they would just leave alone with the twists on launch night. Let them interact with each other first, for a few days, then throw some ridiculous twist upon them.

It's a stupid twist. Survivor did something similar this season, and two of the more famous returnees were the first to get booted.

It's just a stupid idea.
