I hope not but just before the end of the live show the housemates were talking and one of the couples said they'd been to the toliet together already.
Maybe once they're in there properly they'll let them go private.

I reckon that they all thought that when the live show was over that they get to take them off for a bit and get a 5 minute break every hour.
Relax, they won't share a toilet. Look at the cuffs, there's a dog lead type thing, probably for a long stretchy lead so one can stand outside.

I agree with you as well, simply because if there weren't uncuffed how did Bernie Nolan get her coat off as she entered the house with it on and later had it off so at some point she was uncuffed to take her coat off.

Having read the thread I'm glad that everyone here agrees it was completely tacky, disgusting and unnecessary part of the of the opening night to be giving the impression that they would have to remain handcuffed while on the the toilet . Imagine holding someones hand while having a shit 
I'm very disappointed that not one of these so called shining lights of entertainment had the guts to say NO I will not do this .

I think it's a cape - it just sits over the top of her shoulders, so can be easily removed

I've not let a particularly sheltered life but I've never taken a dump (or showered) in front of a complete stranger. Am I alone in this?
We've established they have a long lead anyway. I just don't get your point
