Hi All

Please help BT price rise is happening today. So I fort I would cancel and move to sky. They are telling me I have received a notice that my line rental will be going up well before 4th of January.

They will not let me cancel without paying £200. As far as I am aware 4 of January is the day prices go up I have 10 days from today to cancel.

Thanks

it was 10 days from the time you got notification. I got mine in November and promptly left.

I never got mine. Lucky you BT have got to be the worst provider ever. I wanted to go to sky but looks like Im stuck till next year. I didn't even know it was an 18 month contract.

BT price rice is happening this week not 10 days from when you got the notification.

I think he was saying that your right to cancel ran for 10 days from when you received the notification, not that the price rise was 10 days later.

I received notification of the price rise on the 23rd of October. I cancelled on the 9th day of the 10 day period and moved over to Plusnet. I'm so glad I did as it has been stable as anything and I haven't had any problems what so ever since the they cocked up at the beginning, but was sorted out straight away.

Ditto. I haven't received any notification. I only found out about the rise by chance

Called up today and cancelled the 1571 and caller id. Been told that the price rise was in the BT magazine. What a place to put it not on my bill but somewhere where I will not see it.
