Scarletts needs to become more accessible to more of the Square's folk, I don't think a fine dining place is working- its still rarely seen on screen.

Ian should turn it into a brasserie/bistro/wine bar a la Nick's in Corrie and Sharon should buy Janine's share of it and co-own and run it with Ian.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned before that Sharon and Ian should work together at Scarletts.

They should change the name too, I don't really like the name Scarlett.

I don't think they will change the name because one viewer doesn't like it Scrabbler.

That being said, with Janine in jail now, it would be perfectly realistic of Ian to change the name. In the real world it probably wouldn't work due to branding and all that but this is Eastenders.

I think the restaurant was on of LNs not very well thought out ideas for the Square. To be honest, it just seemed like filler at the time.

Well they should, everyone knows my opinion is the most important.

When ever Scarlett's is referred to I always think they are talking about the club. Could they seriously not have thought of a different name for the restaurant?

It always reminds me of when the club was named Scarlett

Scarletts is ok.

I wish EE would get rid of R&R. That places hasn't working since Angie's Den.

I thought E20 was great. Loved that it was platform for Saskia Duncan's death (an absolute classic!). It also thrived as Angie's Den with the Watts at the helm.

However it's gotton worse throughout the years.

It's just not worked as Scarlet or R&R. It's been nearly 10 years since it's classic demise and keeps getting duller and duller...and smaller.

I'm not sure a nightclub is right for a soap, not as a permanent location anyway. It's a shame that when there is a need for a nightclub that they don't go out on location because with the youngsters living in London it seems daft that they go to the same nightclub every week.

Angie's Den was fab, and actually looked very classy despite being a small East End nightclub. I liked Scarlett's when Johnny Allen ran it, was very reminiscent of the dark and dangerous e20 days. But it went downhill when his daughter took over.

R&R is tacky and crap, and way too small. It needs a total revamp and change of name now that, presumably, Phil & Sharon are going to run it together.

I also don't see Scarlett's (the restaurant) lasting very long. It seems to have been introduced purely as a plot device for the Ian/Carl storyline. It apparently serves no purpose now.

Scarletts needs to be revamped.

If Jane returns she could be the new co-owner with Ian.

Scarletts fits in with DTCs vision of making EE more up to date. As with all sets it is used as and when needed. Just because it doesn't feature in every episode doesn't mean it serves no purpose.

I think it serves a purpose but not as a Haute Cuisine place, if Sharon's new bar is a bar only (no meals) then Scarletts should be renamed and become a Bistro.

I think the idea of Sharon and Ian going into business together is a very good one. It could work as a high-class, upmarket restaurant and wine bar but not as a bistro or brasserie. I think the name should be changed to Kathy's. That being said, the name of the caff should change too.
