Nexus 5 Warranty on Second hand Device
I presume if i bought a Second Hand Nexus 5 that Google and LG would not touch me with a barge pole regarding warranty unlike apple.
Buying direct from google would be the sensible choice im guessing. |

Manufacturer's warranties are in addition to consumer protection laws and the terms and conditions are entirely at the manufacturer's discretion. EU consumer protection law says that consumers must have at least 2 years to raise a claim against a seller but we already have greater protection than that here in the UK under the Sale Of Goods Act. In the UK LG provide a 1 year non-transferable manufacturer's warranty for a Nexus 5 to the original purchaser, providing it was purchased from an authorised reseller. For a second hand phone your rights would depend on the circumstances. If purchased from a business then you have consumer rights law protection, but if the purchase was from a private individual then the consumer rights laws do not apply. |
