hudl - 'insufficient storage' issue

Currently have 0.5gb of internal storage and 29gb free on a micro SD card but when I tried to download a _10mb app, I was told that I have insufficient storage.

Anyone had this issue and know how to resolve it?

If its anything like my phone then in general most apps have to be on the internal memory. The expansion mem is used to store my own media like music, pics and video. Some apps allow them shifted to external but not many.

You get this problem on a phone, but not usually on a tablet.

On a phone it's often because the cache is too full. Try rebooting the tablet (which should clear the cache), and then try again to install the app.

Have you filled up the internal memory with apps, or have you put your own media on there?
Some of the pics, music, videos etc would be better off moved onto the external SD card, if space is limited.

Rebooting doesn't clear the cache .... you normally have to explicitly perform that action.

If you can, install "Clean Master" - that'll clear out cache files, unused temporary files, etc. Very useful little application.

Oh right.
Must admit I've never needed to give a moments thought to the cache on my tablet.
On my phone, which has a fixed size cache, I sometimes use an app called 'Cache Fixer' to temporarily increase the size of the cache (or clear it), and rebooting resets that.
Think that one only works on rooted devices though?

Cheers guys.

It's not even a memory issue as the internal memory has 512mb remaining and the apps I'm trying to download are 10 and 11mb!!

Clear cache and some programmes can be moved to the SD card which is useful.
