In short, more than likely, no.

Matthew is busy in Emmerdale. He has a big story line coming up. There's a lot of training and promoting, let alone the live shows involved in Dancing on Ice. Emmerdale's filming schedule is full on.

It's a shame though as Matt was one of my favourites

I would have loved to have had Gareth Thomas back instead of Todd - he had to leave under such sad circumstances and it would have been lovely to see him skate again

Were we watching the same routines?

Step back in time to the first series and Bonnie never let go of Matt - her lifts were spectacular but her skating skills didn't exist. However she carried on skating and I think the results were there for all to see.

She has acquired the ability to skate alone and that allied to her artistry makes her a delight to watch.

That's coming from one who constantly criticised her lack of solo skating 9 years ago.

He's been at the centre of a very big storyline in Emmerdale. If he couldn't devote any/enough time to skating, it's not worth it.

YES! He was probably the person I most wanted to see again, after the way he missed out on being a finalist last year. I'd have liked him instead of Gary Lucy or Gareth Gates personally!

I agree with this. While I am in full agreement that Bonnie's skating was practically non-existent on her original series, she's progressed immensely since then. She's perfectly happy on the ice and her basic skill is fine. She's not as solid as the likes of Ray or Kyran but she's nothing like the animatronic prop she appeared to be several years ago.

I do wonder if some people (although no doubt many will bristle at the suggestion ) are watching through rose tinted glasses; they expect Bonnie to go from spectacular lift to spectacular lift with no skating in between and so that's what they see. Bonnie's routines are always going to have an emphasis on aerial tricks because size-wise and flexibility-wise, she's possibly the best suited to performing them.

I have to respectfully disagree with you there, I didn't like Bonnie in the first series but she has improved immensely. She did as much (if not slightly more) solo skating last night as Hayley and Jorgie - and did so very very well.

As PPs have said, she also did Hayley's 'big trick' (the helicopter) as well as some of Beth's and Suzanne's biggest tricks in her save me skate - and did them all brilliantly.
