Some great updates there and interesting that Capaldi's opening story won't be a present day one like his predecessors have been since 2005.

I guess that as he already has Clara as a companion, he has no need to go to Earth in present day to intentionally or unintentionally look for one!

Matt's Doctor picked up his first outfit while out and about but given the Time setting of Ep1 if Capaldi does the same it may end up being too similar to Smiths last outfit.


So will we have the 12th Doctor head off to the Wardrobe at the end of the episode to pick out his new clothes?

As long as we don't get a bloody awful song while he does it!

I think given that the first episode in based in Victorians times he may 'acquire' an outfit along the way. He'd suit Victorian clobber!

They need new blood on the writing team, not going back to mediocre hacks they've used in the past.

Ford's a fantastic writer and he's only written for the show once before and even then it was a co-written effort with RTD on The Waters Of Mars.

I'm glad we're getting him as a writer this series.
