One of the best skaters
She can barely skate 2 steps without having to grab her partner's hand.
Here's my take on it.
She crossed the line when she said "Am I going to be his new girlfriend?" and then obliterated that line when she said "He better make a move on me or I'll be disappointed" or words to that affect.
I do not blame Sylvain for being really pissed off about that. Put yourself in his position and someone is indirectly insulting your real life partner. Then Schofield further rubs salt into the open wound by asking Sylvain if there is "Trouble at home"
And I liked Jorgie, I actually liked this partnership on a professional level. If only Jorgie and Scofield could have kept it professional.
I also think that they were both set up but I don't think DOI producers thought that the public would react as badly as they did.

But Jorgie saying, "Am I going to be his new girlfriend", sounded as if it was rehearsed and part of a script, and not a spontaneous comment.

You don't make jokes like that in such an already awkward situation. The first clip with her and the other girl from HO was funny, but she pushed it too far. As I said, I don't blame Sylvain for his reaction. I think he was right.
She learned a hard life lesson tonight
If you saw Jorgie during the series she was in, was it, 2 years ago, she was very shy and taciturn and would hardly ever say anything after her routine, which was embarrassing. Philip was lucky to get more than a word or two out of her. I doubt if she was capable of coming up with the comments she made in the VT without it being pre-scripted.

It was all quite bizarre ...I could hardly believe my ears when Jorgie started saying silly things before Schofield added malicious comments.
I think she deserves to go after that ..pity Schofield isn't going with her.

Yes,but I still will miss seeing her skate and perform as she was a good dancer and really got into the character of the routines - I still have the videos on my laptop.
Silly?,yes and ditzy and immature and (horrors) "breathless"...but I wanted to see her ice-dance,I wasn't planning on having her round for a dinner party.
I was never a Jorgie fan, but I'm surprised that so many people assumed she didn't get any votes, because of the VT.
Most people don't watch the VT's, they use the break to get a cup of tea or go to the toilet.
For my part, I found the whole scenario idiotic, but I did not not vote for Jorgie, because of some silly comments (I just didn't like the routine).

Indeed she was better at skating than Mathew in the skills test that year. She's just like any other female on DOI - they all spend less time on the ice than the males. And most males do very little when they are on the ice too.

This. It does intrigue me how DOI and SCD forum posters often spend more time commenting on perceived personality traits, often based on precious little in the way of evidence (bearing in mind these are TV shows not real life) than on the actual performances.

The problem isn't what she said. It was obviously mostly set up and scripted for the camera. You don't have a camera hovering over you as you happen to sit with an involved party looking at potential skating partners on a tablet. Its set up for a reaction - thats either written for her or intended to catch her out.
The problem is that viewers may be unable to tell whats said as a joke, or whats real, or whats set up, or whats scripted and are gullible enough to simply believe anything they are shown. Many would need irony explaining to them.
Jorgie's problem is that she either doesn't realise that TV producers care more about ratings and publicity than a good competition, or she genuinely saw it as a funny VT - because she's overestimated some viewers, and isn't savvy enough to spot danger.

I must have misread you, but I thought you meant that Jorgie accepted doing the VT without fuss. We don't know that she did, it may have been a contractual obligation.
Similarly, both of them probably had to accept the partnership for similar reasons and whilst Sylvain didn't say anything on screen he may have been none too delighted about it either. I am not sure quite what they could have got him to say about it that would have been similarly controversial, other than he did not want to be with Jorgle because she was Jennifer's friend. Or perhaps they could have brought Samia into the equation, which probably would have been even worse.
I'm really just pointing out that we only know what we saw, we can only place our own interpretation on that but that that we don't know the full story of the situation from it.

I have never sent nasty pms to any forum member on any subject. Furthermore I haven't received any - perhaps you should be looking at your own record and asking why?
Such animosity usually arises when one particular poster assumes too much knowledge about the reasons and perceptions of others with no evidence to back up such fanciful claims.
