1. Shame Jorgie has gone as she was great & definitely deserved to be the top girl on the leaderboard tonight. Not surprised in the least though - for the sake of the competition she should have been with someone else but she's been sacrificed for a few headlines in the short term
2. Really annoyed at Sylvain though & the way he behaved, he could have at least tried to put on a front, he didn't attempt to disguise his disdain & dislike for Jorgie. And no attempt at consoling her when she was clearly upset. Very unprofessional IMO.
3. Jason made himself look even more of a pratt than usual tonight scoring Joe higher than Kyran - Kyran & Nina should have been top in their own right IMO and would have been if Jason had scored a little more sensibly
4. Pleased Bonnie stayed though & thought she was great considering she apparantly hasn't skated since the 2008 tour.
5. Ray looked a little rusty but I'm sure he has much more to give. Hayley was definitely the most underwhelming of the favourites for me & she has some ground to make up if she is going to get anywhere near the final. Though perhaps this showed that whilst she deserved to win her series she isn't as good as other champions.

3. How did Gareth survive?
4. Thought Bonnie was brilliant, especially in the skate off, and really happy to see her stay another week considering I thought she'd be rock bottom with the votes.
5. Despite the terrible 'twist' and Jason I did still enjoy the show, and it was nice to see some of my favourites from past series back on the ice.

Enjoyed Joe's routine but it was correct that he left

Didn't particularly like Ray's choreography tonight but he's going to be hard to beat

1. Glad Jorgie has gone. The whole thing just looked really uncomfortable.
2. Joe better than Kyran. Really Jason?
3. I like Ray but it looked a bit messy. I would rather see a simpler routine, executed perfectly than a complex routine that looks under rehearsed.
4. Fair play to Bonnie. She's no spring chicken anymore but she throws herself into every routine she performs.
5. Hayley looks quite average when up against the best.

1. I'm very surprised but not disappointed Jorgie & Sylvain are out. The whole set up was weird. And I wasn't a big fan of Jorgie's the first time round anyway.

2. Bonnie's a class act. She has no chance of winning because for whatever reason the DOI audience have never really got behind her, but she's my favourite.

3. I'd rather Donal had returned than dullard Gareth.

4. Jason has a point about Kyran. It's all power and no performance. Felt the same way about him the first time round (Clare was robbed!).

5. I hope people vote for Zaraah next week.

1. Jorgie was set up and the way she was treated, at the end was disgraceful
2. The contestants split was unfair. Much better people this week than next week
3. Bonnie was amazing
4. Kyran skated well but poor performance as Jason said
5. Jason was horrible again to Karen. Vile comments about her droning ob

6. I think i'm done, i didn't watch last season pas the first couple of weeks because Jason came back, unchanged, and don't think i'm likely to continue with this one

2. Found Jason's score for Kyran and Joe didn't make sense
3. Couldn't believe Gareth stayed
4. Still don't like Karen Barber
5. Felt bad for Jorgie going and being paired with Sylvain in the first place. They should have given her a different partner

Jorgie going takes out one of the top females already.

Whoever went for that theme in her VT should be fired. Her agent should be changed if they knew what was going on and didn't stop it.

Hayley did a decent dance, and added a decent trick. But Jorgie and Bonnie were both stronger. Beth did the same trick a couple of weeks ago, and did it much better, Bonnie did it better in her skate off number. Hayley has ground to make up, and we don't know about Suzanne, or Beth yet.

Bonnie still gets the same comments as she did in series one - even though she's not doing what she did in series one, the judges and T and D are pointing that out, and she is skating as much as any of the pro females or other celeb females do. Many voters just don't watch, or listen, and some voters still still vote against Elizabeth Bott.

The skate off may have nothing much to do with current performance. Joe couldn't show his improvement and Bonnie's routine had spectacular lifts - because the routines were those they were given they were last on. The wonder was Bonnie could still do massive lifts after 8 years. Ray, Suzanne, Kyran and Hayley just have stronger routines they can deploy there than most people have. Hayley may suffer in the votes , if there's 5 stronger contestants there, but Jai Ho will beat anyone else in a skate off.

My 5 thoughts were:-

(i) Christines dress looks a bit weird but she's slightly less annoying that normal.

(ii) Out of order pairing jorgie with Sylvain. TPTB know whatthey were doing.

(iii) Gareth Gates is turning into Morrissey. (Looks wise)

(iv) Ray Quinn is getting all grown up looking.

(v) Awww, don't go Joe.... just one more week.

1) It will be a fine line to tread for all re: the end of the series. It's good they are being up front about it but frequent mentions of it may backfire in terms of ratings (and yes I know the ratings are the biggest reason the show is ending).

2) Why not hold any eliminations until all have skated? It might test the memory of the audience but they roll so many video reminders as airtime filler the audience could be reminded.

3) Jorgie a victim of some too-clever-by-half producers. Some seem to think she's not allowed to express an opinion, even a negative one, about the person she will be working closely with for a long stretch.

4) Christine is being marginalised even more i.e. not on the main stage for the goodbyes. I fancy short hair on women but think I preferred her longer tresses last year and definitely want the glam outfits back - go out with a blaze of glory etc.

5) The five-point format should be compulsory for all DS forums

1) Decisions like pairing Jorgie and Slyvain. Are one of the reasons the show is ending.
2) Splitting the skaters in 2 unequal (in terms of ability) groups and then eliminating 2 in each group puts the better skaters at greater risk and is another reason the show is ending. If there was a
3) Deciding to dispense with the judges voted and basing the eliminations purely on the public vote is another bad decision and another reason the show is ending.
4) Nobody is voting for Bonnie which is a shame.
5) Why are there only 6 girls to 8 guys in this years line up?

1. This is supposed to be a talent show, not some Big Brother-esque twist-fest.
2. Partnering Jorgie with Sylvan was rogue to say the least, and probably cost her her place in the show.
3. I don't think anyone - Jorgie, Sylvan, Phillip came out of it looking great.
4. Two people going? Seriously? In what universe could you ever defend a decision like that?
5. Ray will win.

1. Surprisingly disappointed by Hayley.
2. Thought the whole Jorgie/Sylvain shenanigans were in very poor taste
3. Ashley - seriously? She's a singer. What does she know about arm placements for God's sake??

The judges scores didn't count this week so it was all down to the public. He was obviously in the top 4. Seeing as he was a semi finalist in his year it can't be all that surprising that he went through. He still must have a lot of support out there

1) shocked and saddened to see Jorgie leave - she is a very good skater, shame the producers found it necessary to pair her with Sylvain - it didnt do her any favours and whatever the powers that be thought would happen, didnt, and it backed fired and they lost a potential winner way to early
2) greatly irrated by Hayley even more this time, really wish she had been knocked out
3) knocking out 2 couples is way to harsh, espcially on the first show!
4) miss Holly
5) Jason is an idiot, Karen isnt much better tbh - poor Ashley having to sit between this pair of overgrown children

1. Glad Jorgie went - thought her behaviour was childish and unprofessional - and it cost her!
2. Ray is A-MA-ZING - even rusty he's still brilliant
3. Bonnie has improved beyond all recognition - give her a chance people - she is skating much much more these days - she's kept it up since Series 1 - and we should try to actually watch her now rather than let past prejuduces cloud out judgement (I hated it in series 1 where she got all the praise and high marks when her skates barely touched the ice!)
4. Why did they have to bring back Joe and Todd - if they are meant to be cannon fodder - it can backfire all too easily - I'll bet if Jorgie hadn't shot herself in the foot in her VT - Bonnie would have gone straight away last night ......
5. Hayley is definitely second division these days - and especially in the company she is in in this series.

1) The skate-off being an old routine is interesting and fun for nostalgia yet entirely flawed for the exact reasons networkbabe points out. Jai Ho is indeed the prime example - when against almost anything else, could they really justify sending her home, even if someone is better? And of course later people like Beth simply don't have many good options in a skate-off. That said, it is the last series and does anyone really care that much. It's all for fun, it is certainly nice to see these routines again (I half wanted Hayley in the skate-off just to watch it again!) and I suspect even if a skate-off routine by a lesser skater is better than one by a superior skater, the judges will probably still vote based on the skater's general ability/potential so I doubt many shocks will come of it.

2) Absolutely hideous and stupid to dump 4 people in the first two weeks. I assume they're doing it to make sure it fits with the number of weeks on air, but in that case why start with so many in the first place? It's insulting to invite good people back only for them to leave without even a chance of a skate-off! I would have extended the number of weeks to avoid this if possible, had less people or made sure everyone skated in week one and it was done fairly. I'm sure there are many other options, but this wasn't one of them.

3) I'm not happy with the results, but I was expecting a disaster so its damage limitation. Jorgie has never been one of my favourites so if I had to pick somebody good to go this week it would be her. And Joe is gone so that's a bonus. Gareth should have gone or been in the skate-off. Unfair on Jorgie but it could have been so much worse, at least for me. Next week I'll be much sadder to (inevitably) lose Zaarah when we have cannon fodder like Todd and Gary Lucy.

4) Unlike others I'm pleased Hayley is through and relieved given her scores and being on first. Her routine did seem limited compared to others, but I do believe she can match them and I also think she has the best musicality and dance element of all of them. We'll see though.

5) Can't help but think, outside of the nastiness (though "oh let her drone on" was hilarious) Jason is actually the best judge these days, properly commenting on performance and skill. And yes I know he wasn't particularly like that last night, but I suspect it was because their scores counted for nothing so he probably didn't care and/or was trying to be tactical in praising Joe and being hard on Kyran etc. Of course if he's marking ridiculously because it's the last series then we can expect more of it and I retract that comment! We won't see until week 3.

And two quick others:

6) Ashley is diabolical. It is just meaningless noise flowing from her mouth.

7) Atmosphere felt very weird and on edge to me - in particular Phillip and T&D. Not sure what that was about, possibly just the sadness surrounding it.

I don't want to be mean but why isn't she getting more flack on here? What is she doing on the judging panel? She's absolutely terrible. Worse than Emma, Ruth, all of them.

1 - Don't think there was any need to lose 2 plus 2 next week.
2 - Winners weren't amazing and the weaker skaters surprised me
3 - Hayley and Dan still irritate me and I still find Ray Cocky
4 - still not keen on Christine presenting
5 - Jorgie being partnered with Sylvain wouldn't have helped and although I felt for her when she was upset I'm not that surprised she left
