she was working looking after babies and children to give foster parents a break actually - and intends to continue doing more of the same after CBB- we don't know how well that paid work was and for how long either.
...but how do you know she wasn't 'actively' seeking work while on benefits anyway ? you don't know her private life and circumstances to even make such an assumption.
There are forms, questions and lot of info that has to be declared before she'd have been entitled to a penny from the benefits system,like anyone else making claims for benefits - why you think she'd have been any different. And if she was struggling and had to claim benefits, why wouldn't she apply for a job like working in a supermarket, who are you to say she'd feel above that kind of job - we don't know her. Lot of people in that industry work in bars and supermarkets and call centres between jobs, why would she be any different - and she has suffered from ill health too by the way.
