Aw why are you crying. Chin up and don't let the life of Linda and her sisters reduce you to tears. By the way, seeing as you know so much about Linda you will concur that her life hasn't been the easiest, cancer and the loss of her beloved husband and sister cannot have been easy.

Oh and by the way, she has been in a retraining programme to earn her degree in the areana of social welfare.

She hit hard times, it happens to many and a bit of compassion wouldn't go amiss. I'm sure you'll be delighted that she is in gainful employment on CBB and not in receipt of benefits.oh and by the way, if the "Nolans" are qualified enough for tv stations to employ them, who are you to tell them to go away...
really, my interest in this thread is trying to explain why some poster might wonder why someone like Linda would be claiming benefits, she's often on TV Anyone not remembering or reading about the Nolans can be forgiven for thinking they have made a small fortune in their career as they are fond of telling us how popular they were in the 80's....Of course it's all exaggeration, you know that and I know that, but many people believe what they say.

I know she's had a rough time lately, but so have many people who like to keep their personal life just that...personal.

I have not criticised linda or anyone for being on benefits.

Well saying she was "sympathy seeking" by her admitting she was on benefits is hardly complimentary now is it It was a criticism(sic) of her and thats your opinion, of which you are entitled but then don't try to sing from a different hymn sheet when called on it.
Oh and by the way,we all know people who have had a tremendoulsy rough time and I can empathize with them too, it just so happens Linda Nolan is on tv at the minute & chooses to share her life with those around her..and that includes viewers. I don't berate her for that.

But, but, but ..................they really were popular in the 80's. Success isn't all about chart topping singles .........TV was very different in those days - there was a lot of variety/entertainment shows - they were always on the telly. I think that is why they have maintained some degree of popularity on TV nowadays (they are on TV quite often for a reason) Linda herself has had a successful stage career as well. Love them or hate them please don't keep harping back to 'I'm In The Mood For Dancing' and them being one hit wonders. They were a bit more than that. When they re formed and did a tour a few years ago (can't remember how long) it was a sell out - it was successful. I was never a big fan but I wont deny that they were and continue to be popular with a lot of people.

I couldn't give a monkey's that she's receiving benefits, if I remember correctly she lost her husband & Mother in a very short space of time, then she had to cope with the sad loss of her sister.

While there are many people who are emotionally strong enough to deal with such things & carry on with every day life, there are also people who just can't cope & perhaps Linda Nolan is one of those people.

She has worked most of her adult life I presume, so therefore would have paid tax. She reached a stage in her life where she felt unable to work & subsequently claimed benefits that she was entitled to.

Now she's doing paid work ie BB she'll no longer be able to claim benefits, so I really don't see the problem.

She angered me too! There's lots of people in this country on benefits, trying to find work where they can get it. I would bet my life on the probability that she wasn't seeking proper work like the rest of benefit claimants. Linda is going to have a huge awakening when the money she made from CBB runs out. I hope when she turns her nose up at work that doesn't fit in with her showbiz background, that the Job Centre sanction that bitch and stop her benefits!
what a nasty ridiculous post.

BIB
I haven't mentioned their records or called the any names.

Bits under-lined

This is no doubt why some are puzzled as to why she is on benefits.

btw......I really don't care if she is, just find it a bit odd that she mentioned it on CBB.

I think there should be a separate benefits queue for celebrities with a red carpet for them to walk on to make them feel at home.

I hope she's informed the charming and every friendly DWP about a change in circumstances or that's another story waiting to happen
