I thought Jeff Brazier came across as rather smug when he took part. Even though he was a pretty good skater I found him rather annoying and was glad to see the back of him.

Chris Fountain mostly, I am so upset he's not in it. The only skater bar Ray, Jorgie and Hayley who nailed and skating and the performance! I understand why but he could of won, easy.

Surprised they didn't ask Matt Lapinskas back, especially him being in a relationship with Brianne. He was a good skater too, better then Gary Lucy or Gareth Gates

John Barrowman, Stefan Booth, Jessica Taylor and Kieron Richardson.
Serenity.

Clare Buckfield and Chris Fountain would have made the line-up complete for me. Vanilla Ice would have been good to see again - even though he wasn't in their class, he was very entertaining and really improved.

Didn't realise Laura Hamilton has had a baby. Still a shame chris fountain isn't there , maybe he could be invited to do the final tour?

As it's a Champion of Champions show I'd have preferred to have seen it restricted to winners and runners up. If one of the top two proved unavailable then the third of that series should have been invited. Thus we would have avoided Joe Pasquale, Todd Carty etc.

Series 1. Winner Ganor Faye is not present. Did she decline the invitation or wasn't it proffered? Was runner up Stefan Booth asked? Either way in the absence of winner and runner up Bonnie earned the right to be there.

Series 2. Winner Kyran is there but where is my favourite of that series - Clare Buckfield? I'd have loved to see her again but if she was invited yet unable to commit was Duncan James considered?

Series 3. We've got winner Suzanne Shaw and in the understandable absence of 2nd placed Chris Fountain we have third placed Zaraah Abrahams. Just as it should be imo.

Series 4.
Ray Quinn - the winner but no Donal McIntyre or Jessica Taylor. Instead we have to go back to 5th week evictee Todd Carty. What place does he deserve in a Champion of champions lineup?

Series 5.
Hayley and Gary fulfil the criteria.

Series 6. Champion Sam is back; apparently Laura is unavailable (pity, I loved her) but why no Chloe. I wasn't a fan - but I can't believe she'd turn down the opportunity to display her wares again. I mean that in a self promotion sort of way.

Series 7.
We don't know why Matt W isn't in the lineup but Jorgie earned her place; though I much ask why no Chico?

Series 8.
Delighted to see Beth again but much as I loathed him where is Matt L. or if not him Luke; again not a favourite.

Although most have earned their second chance this does not apply to Joe Pasquale, David Seaman, Gareth Gates or Todd Carty.

I suppose it is of some comfort that Joe is already out and the others won't last much longer.

It seems that Clare was not invited. This is what we are missing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwwOdzsy0KM

She was even better in that clip than in the series and may well have improved further since then. How well she can skate on her own and how gracefully she uses her arms.

Beautiful routine - why on earth wasn't she invited to the final series?

I'm assuming it's no coincidence that the only two winners not returning (Gaynor and Matt) are both currently in Emmerdale.

Those two and Chris Fountain should definitely be in the show.

Chemmy will either be skiing in the Olympics or is injured. Either way, she wouldn't be able to commit to the pre competition training or the competition itself.

Got to the final in season 2.

Apart from the thinking that it should be really the winner and runner up (or failing either, third place) I would have liked to have seen Gareth Thomas (who I could well believe could have won) and Michael Underwood due to their time in their respective series being cut short.

Although it's quite lucky that the late Stephen Gately wasn't a series winner or runner up.

Don't know if they did ask Matt and/or if he agreed.

Gareth did OK on Sunday, IMO and I'm against the tide of opinion apparent on here about him.

We have not seen Gary yet this time around. I remember him being self conscious the first few weeks last time, but by about week 7 he was performing and emoting well and skating better.

There is no indication that he thought he was better than anybody. Where did you get that idea from? I thought he was hard done by.

Its what I thought at the time of seeing him, First Impressions can be misleading at time

Yeah, I think bringing back Gareth Thomas and seeing if he could finish off the job would have been a far better "plot-line" to get people interested than the Jorgie/Sylvan mess..

He wasn't really hard done by - he forgot his routine.

Was that the one where he was in the Skate-Off with Chemmy and she was trying to signal the moves to him from the sidelines? I recall they had to do a sequence of moves specified by the judges rather than their own routine. The old memory could be playing tricks, though.

I remember something like that too. It was definitely Chemmy trying to help out but I couldnt remember who she was helping.

I would love to have seen Gareth Thomas again and Chico. I keep getting this years male contestants mixed up. There seems to be a similarity between a few of them (I havnt seen the show from the start though so don't know who is who). Both Gareth Thomas and Chico stand out for me because they are very different, individual. I also liked the fact that neither of them could stand up at all on the ice when they started, neither were exactly 'naturals' (Chico slightly more so that Gareth) but they both came on to do so well through sheer hard work and determination.
