His little diary room rant early on in tonight's episode should be getting talked about at least as much as Evander's comments (as deserving as he'll be of the inevitable backlash). "No way for a girl to speak" etc, f-ck off.

How come you feel free to express your opinion but don't think that LB has the same right?

Oh dear.

First of all, I'm not on national television playing the role of 'nice guy granddad'. And most importantly, um, my opinions on equality and such tend not to be stuck in the 1950s.

When did Lionel express a hatred, dislike or mistreat any of the women in the house?

Misogyny is hatred, or a strong contempt of women.

Lionel has done nothing to suggest he is guilty of such a thing.

I actually think there would be a great deal of men of all ages in 2014 that would be put off by that way of speaking from a young woman.

As it was Jasmine and not dappy who said they would like to shove their finger up the others arse we don't know how Lionel would have reacted if it had been Dappy who had said it. But you have obviously already jumped to a conclusion based purely on how he reacted to the one person who talked in sexually explicit terms. Should he have been politically correct and said no way for a person to act (even though the person was a female)just in case there is someone on a BB forum who interprets it as being 'mysoginist?'

I don't like to hear women OR men using bad language for the sake of it. I remember Rylan having a gutter mouth throughout his series and being irritated by it, even though in general I thought he was a nice guy.

But it was ok to for him to speak about the size of mens private parts tonight. Double standards imo.

He didn't use filthy language in the conversation though.

Could he be on some kind of spectrum? Or maybe Jasmine is, which might explain why she came out with such a strange comment.

So sheer numbers makes something right?

There was a time when sheer numbers supported the idea that black people could be scooped up by greedy European slavers and sold into bondage on American plantations. Did the number of people who believed that to be "right" make it right?

Someone's "generation" believing something doesn't make it inherently right. It just makes them potential fossils, who's views don't move along with the times.

I think he has double standards that far i'll agree. I don't mind him finding conversations crude I just don't like the fact he specifically had a problem it was a woman speaking that way.

Well then lets call it was it is.

Sexism.

See, was that so hard? He's a sexist, if not provably a Misogynist.

You have to remember Lionels age.

It was unheard of for women to swear in polite society when he was growing up.

Maybe he's ageist. He said nothing about older women not being allowed to discuss anal fingering.
