The replies to this thread are weird and it's a bit (very) scary that a lot of you are actually agreeing with him that women should basically be expected to keep their mouths shut and be embarrassed at any drunken crudeness.
Jasmine was crude, ill-mannered,
maybe insensitive to the people around her, but we all saw how smashed she was, come on. And as an old guy, Lionel might have been right to take issue with the way she spoke and acted - but his diary room scene very very very clearly used waaaay outdated specifically gendered language and in my opinion they're views that should
not be shown on TV coming from a guy with such a nice-guy image without any consequence whatsoever (his just-looking-out-for-you tone made it all the worse). Maybe my thread title was a bit dramatic
