I rewatched the movie not so long ago and really wanted more McGann but after looking at the website it's all alien to me. So many choices and so many different series's, could people please help me and suggest some good stories.

I have just started listening to the Paul McGann stories myself and I found the "Dark Eyes" audio book very good. I also started out with the "Blood of the Daleks" Part 1 and 2 with Lucie Miller and found those to be very entertaining also. Both of these can be found in the Doctor Who - Eighth Doctor Adventures Range

In the Doctor Who Monthly Range, there are 8th Doctor adventures with Charley starting with Number 16 - "Storm Warning". What is nice about those is they are reduced priced. I have it but have not yet listened to it. I have listened to others in the Monthly range with other Doctors and have found them to be a great listen. Having the real doctor and companion right there is wonderful. So far they have been great stories and sound effects.

Hope this helps you out.

Chimes of Midnight and Jubilee - both by Robert Shearman - are two of the very best I've listened to (featuring eighth doctor and sixth respectively).

Sixth Doctor-wise, also really enjoyed Project Twilight, Spectre of Lanyard Moor and The One Doctor. The first is dark and hard-hitting, the second a Saturday tea-time City of Death meets Image of Fendahl sort of jaunt, and the third is just an out and out laugh.

Seventh Doctor - particularly enjoyed Colditz and The Rapture.

I was the same and wanted more Eight, so after many mentions and recommendations of it I started with Chimes of Midnight. It's not the best place to start as there are a couple of references to a longer story arc, but it's understandable and doesn't spoil things. I enjoyed it so much that I just then went back to the first story with Eight, Storm Warning, and started working my way through.

Once I've got through more of Eight's stories, I'll branch out into the other doctors I think!

Eight's are very accessible, though there are quite a few pop culture references that can be annoying. If you want a free sampler, you can listen to the audio version of Shada, recast with the Eighth Doctor. It's available on YouTube.

There's also a lot of good jaunty ones- I really enjoyed Human Resources- but I really enjoyed Death in Blackpool. Great mix of humour and dramatic acting- I was a bit teary by the end!

This is a good point about Chimes actually, and Storm Warning is itself a good story.

Personally I found the stories between Storm and Chimes rather unengaging. However the story immediately following Chimes - Seasons of Fear (a rare Paul Cornell contribution to the Big Finish canon) - is excellent.

So as an introduction to the PMG BF series I would probably go with Storm Warning, followed by Chimes of Midnight, followed by Seasons of Fear. If you then want to delve deeper into the story arc you can always go back and listen to the others in between (I found Wikipedia was good for providing the canonical order, back when I was buying a lot of these).

Enjoy!
