Of course offence was intended! The entire purpose of his "rap diss" was to offend someone who was clearly riling him up. The words he chose to say, publicly, were homophobic - he wanted to insult someone and in his narrow mind calling someone gay is an insult. He has only apologised and said it was wrong of him because it started negatively affecting his record sales.”

Of course people were always going to take offense to it, and he should have known better but with the rap, it's supposed to have an entirely different take on the meaning of the phrase. He apologized because people were offended by it and it wasn't originally supposed to have that effect. Micky Worthless isn't even gay, lmao.

Oh I didn't realise Micky Worthless isn't even gay that makes it OK to use those terms then. I'm just glad we have gay rights advocates like James in the world who spread the message that when you want to insult a straight man in the worst way possible, call them a f*cking queer.

Well it wasn't going to insult Micky was it by calling him gay if he's not? If gay people did actually take offense to this rap diss then personally I think it says more about them than James.

Well I'm not a fan of Rylan at all but I don't blame him for speaking his mind, it's obviously a very personal subject for him. I actually wish he didn't delete the tweets.

And a presenter affiliated with BB remaining impartial? Please, this isn't Newsnight. It's a light entertainment show, of course the presenters are going to have an opinion on it. As long as it doesn't affect the way he presents the show too much then I don't see the problem.

Is he contractually obliged? None of the other presenters have ever said anything like that. Davina even said that one thing she liked about presening Big Mouth (or whatever it was called then) was that she could express her opinions.

I can't speak for Micky to know whether he was insulted or not but that was clearly James' intention. If you can't see how that would offend gay people then you are absolutely clueless.

I suppose if he used the n word as an insult towards Micky despite the fact that he's not black you wouldn't see how that would offend black people either.

I do remember a conversation between Dermot and Davina on BBLB before where they mentioned that they weren't allowed to show favourtism. Even though it's pretty obvious who each of the presenters like and don't like I don't think they're supposed to spell it out in a blatant fashion. Davina mentioned in that conversation that she wanted to ask someone in the previous series (which was BB3) why they were such a plonker but she knew that wasn't allowed.

He will be all nicey nicey in any interview as he is only just clinging on to that job by the skin of his massive teeth.

You might choose to describe it as 'nicey nicey' as if it's somehow a bad thing or him being false. Whereas I think Rylan will be fine with Evander (I wouldn't use the term 'nicey nicey') because I don't believe Rylan has a problem with the person but just those particular comments he made.

As for the last part of your sentence, he doesn't seem to be "..only just clinging on to that job.." to me, loads of people think he is doing a great job and enjoy watching him. Then to the "massive teeth" rubbish, they are not massive and the teeth comments have been absolutely done to death and are rather unnecessary but it seems some people can't resist getting an extra dig in.

The fact that he said them in a rap makes absolutely no difference - he still said them. The phrase doesn't become "entirely different", it's as offensive a term as it would be if he said it in an interview.

People took offense because it was offensive, and James intended it to be so. He used homophobic language to insult and belittle Micky, regardless of whether he's gay or not - that doesn't matter.

If you truly believe James didn't mean to cause offence by calling someone an "effing queer", and think the problem lies with any gay person who was offended, then I don't know what more to say... That's a very unpleasant opinion in my eyes.

As I said before; yes of course it was always going to offend people because people take offense to anything these days. If you aren't aware of the rapping diss and the way in which it was used I also understand. The fact is... It does make a difference that it was used in a rap as he wasn't insulted the gay audience. Rylan is his best friend for god sake. And clearly it was used as an insult towards Micky but it has nothing to do with sexuality. People just need to understand the difference between speaking terms and rap disses.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs but just because an opinion goes against the norms or the general public don't make it anything to be ashamed of, its like mass pier pressure, a form of social bullying "Evander most people accept gay couples now so you should be forced to as well!" something about this attitude that makes me sick.

Im no homophobe I have gay friends but I believe that everyone has the right to their own opinions without being given a label, if he said it 10 years ago all would be ok but now he's public enemy number one? please!! its like all this BS about the church should be forced to marry gay couples I believe the church should have the right to decide and as I said I'm no homophobe nor am I religious, I'm all for freedom and I'm against all this crazy political correctness, its getting a joke now what was said was said now move on people.

There isn't any difference. Whether it was rapped or spoken, the term was still used and his lyrics were still offensive - and intended to be.

Calling someone an "effing queer" and claiming that they must want to "stick [their] stinky dick in me" has nothing to do with sexuality?! That's a novel idea.
