The only returning actors to have major roles were David Tennant and Billie Piper, and the plot revolved round the Time War. Really there is no present series, just one big one, thus the 50 year celebration.

Rather than bring back characters/Monsters they could maybe bring back RTD to write an episode.

He's been asked back by Moffat before and doing a story in the 10th Anniversary year of NuWho may be what finally convinces him.

Not that I would make all that big a thing out of the anniversary, as said it's all one show.

I think it would be neat to acknowledge the anniversary. An ordinary episode with some kind of anniversary aspect would be fine - there's a healthy middle ground between not doing anything (which I think would be a shame) and doing some big special that requires ongoing plotlines again.

I don't want a 10th Anniversary special. I don't need any more Rose, she had her time, she was fantastic and now she should stay gone.

I think they should do a story with the Draconians and Daleks to reflect the real 10th anniversary story of 1973.

But I think that the reboot was culturally influential enough to at least warrant a documentary. Yes, it's technically part of the same series but it completely changed the show's reputation.

There's no way Christopher Eccleston will return for one offs or anything. If he didn't come back for the 50th, he's not coming back ever. Just the way it is.

I'm in the no camp. By all means have a nice reference, and I love the idea of a show interviewing David, Matt, RTD, Julie, Phil Collinson, Moffat etc. But having another anniversary special would seem a little wrong to be honest, plus we don't want them splitting series again.
