The general approach of Ex-Gay therapy is to effectively kidnap a teen, isolate them from everyone they know. Then subject them to constant harassment, psychological and physical torture. There tend to be only three outcomes from such treatments.
1) Effective lifetime entrapment and policing by the family and community of the “cured” person.
2) Self harm and suicide of “cured” person.
3) The person escapes the social control exerted of them and moves on to a normal Gay life. However, with the scars of their “treatment” taking years to overcome.

“Therapy” to “cure” homosexuality is abuse. Plain and simple.
